It wasn’t that bad to be honest. I really enjoyed growing up there. Although obviously I only know what I know. I now live at the other end of the country in a very rural area and wonder what it would have been like to grow up here. I used to have great fun on the back of My pal, Brian Adens’ bike as he would speed up and down some of the roads in this clip. Also Cathrin primary in the 1980s was a good school as was the secondary which I believe has now been rebuilt. Now that DID look like a monstrous gulag lol.
Oh and seeing whitefords garage brought back some amazing memories. I went to school with the owners daughter Natasha. I wonder how she is doing these days, 30-40 years later.
