Apple it’s one of the few companies that actually protects your data and keep the phones safer than the vast majority of phone makers… sure they use the data for themselves but at least I know that. And after all you are agreeing to it and buying their devices
I want nothing to do with AI. I am still using my 7 ...people laugh at me but it does what I need. Soon as it dies I will go back to a landline. All this technology will be the death of us.
Same here,I kept my deceased husband’s I phone when he passed away. It serves my purpose in my car whenever I travel further than locally. Still have the land line, not planning to update the other. The people that matter know how to reach me.

So, we're supposed to use Google/Android phones for data security? Do they have a history of being concerned with user privacy?
Google has their own AI system too, it's only a question of time before they do the same thing as Apple, and have the same privacy/security issues. Android is already very aggressive in constantly trying to trick you into using their cloud system (such as photos and contacts backup) in order to analyze and sell your data.
The only truly secure alternative will be to use a dumb flipphone.
It all the same damn thing. OpenAI or not the government will get whatever data they want from you because we have no privacy with any technology so don’t even stress over it

I’m a developer it’s not at this level yet. If you watch the keynote it’s sent to open ai anonymously from apples server not from your device directly. It also isn’t allow to store the history. The process works like this ask Siri, Siri checks locally for an answer if Siri doesn’t know it asks apples server. Apples server then annomously asks chat gpt on your behalf then Apple receives the answer on their server then the answer comes from apples server to you.

As if legality ever stopped corporations from gathering and selling your data. Until there are jail sentences applied, Siri and company will gladly store all your data and sell them, and pay peanut fines if caught.

AI companies are pushing AI, and promising us unrealistic features, because we help train AI by using it. The more people that use it the faster it evolves, the better it gets, the more money it's worth, the more exaggerated the promises of AI become. Most of the benefit from AI goes to the owners of it, not the end users. So they convince us AI is for our benefit.

You're really behind the times. People stopped learning grammar a long time ago, Grammarly as an app has existed for over a decade. Nowadays people don't even bother writing anything, an AI will will write the entire message for them.

Sane goes for keyboarding. The issue is the lack of keyboard skills. When I was in school, keyboarding or a class involving quick typing on a keyboard was a thing. That's gone, and phones are bigger. I can't reach my thumb across a pro mad screen. I think I clicked a key and I clicked another. A letter or punctuation can completely change the meaning of the entire thought. So Grammarly clears that gap. Maybe the youngest amongst us are slowly becoming illiterate, but it isn't the majority of us

Wish you guys had done some actual research into what Apple’s put out regarding how this AI works and how nearly everything is private, happening directly on the phone itself, and for anything that does get sent to Apple’s cloud, it’s entirely private too (they can’t access the data even if they wanted to - it’s designed to be that way). And the chatgpt integration is just one aspect, and Apple will not be sending them any identifying information in your queries - they will basically just know that “some device somewhere in the world is requesting chatgpt perform this single function and return the result”

I'd like to correct Adam when he was conversing about the Tesla stock. Tesla stock actually had a split so the price of the stock was not in the $20's range in 2018. It was upwards of $100+.
Grammarly already has an AI engine that is better than ChatGpt at proper grammar checking and revising.

I’m considering dropping my iPhone but have some questions: aren’t Android and Samsung devices integrating their own versions of AI tools? Furthermore, isn’t it likely that Apple and other software companies have already been sharing our private data? If we already lack data security, I don’t think dropping Apple/iOS products is going to make our information any safer.

I do not want open AI on Apple or GPT automatic access on my devices. I want security.
Something VERY interesting happened which made me realize a utility but also scares me thinking of the potential misuse by bad characters. When Tom (who has always been the epitome of “when an intellect speaks, EVERYONE listens”) said “hey, Siri”, my Siri popped up waiting for me to say something else. This could lead to some sort of prompting to Siri by someone other than just the owner of the device. Which COUND BE a good thing AND bad thing. Someone could find some loophole to have Siri say something aloud (like in public) that should not have been shared. Idk…just made me think of possibilities that could be implemented soon (bc I’ve yet to see it).

Here is a story. Almost thirty years ago I was on a forty five minute small plane flight, I was flying back from my art exhibition I just had, of art working with binary models in a visual sense, by exploring chance and complexity like an 'oracle', including a work I had even named Matrix.
Chatting to only passenger beside me, mr american blue jeans and check shirt, no idea who he was, still clear as yesterday to me, about computing, his friends starting companies in garages, my mentor teaching at silicon valley, .. and I was concerned that this binary mechanism would be the vehicle that disaster such as a mark of the beast would be enacted.
He was about twenty years older than me, but it was an inspiring conversation that even continued walking off the plane till the terminal where my sister to collect me asked who was this man I was having this engaging conversation with.

11:14 you also have to consider the fact that in 2020 the government pumped tons money into the market to give financial assistance to businesses, individuals, and other entities which includes tesla. Tesla's stock price rose from around $100 per share in March 2020 (adjusted for the 5-for-1 stock split in August 2020) to over $700 per share by the end of 2020
