Co-op roguelike action
The classic multiplayer roguelike, Risk of Rain, returns with an extra dimension and more challenging action. No run will ever be the same with randomized stages, enemies, bosses, and items. Play solo, or team up with up to four friends to fight your way through hordes of monsters, unlock new loot, and find a way to escape the planet.
Constant battles and incredible bosses
With each run, you'll learn the patterns of your foes, and even the longest odds can be overcome with enough skill. A unique scaling system means both you and your foes limitlessly increase in power over the course of a game--what once was a bossfight will in time become a common enemy.
Old favorites return and undiscovered challenges await
Myriad survivors, items, enemies, and bosses return to Risk 2, and many new ones are joining the fight. Brand new survivors like the Artificer and MUL-T debut alongside classic survivors such as the Engineer, Huntress, and--of course--the Commando. With over 75 items to unlock and exploit, each run will keep you cleverly strategizing your way out of sticky situations.

Alright I get it I get it, I screwed up on the first review. My interpretation was that the teleport was AT WORST spawning halfway inside the mountain, just barely poking out and being difficult to see; I didn't know that there was a bug that caused the teleporter to spawn completely inside a mountain. After 15 hours and dozens of runs, I never had that happen to me once, so it wasn't even a possibility in my mind. Sorry about that.
I spent almost an hour on he first world once as this happened to me, hope they patch it soon
ingeniousclown Gaming nah dude I think you’re right, in my 160 hours of playing the teleporter has never spawned inside of a mountain, I think people are just blind
I'd be willing to bet good money that the vast majority of people who couldn't find it were just overlooking it anyway. I've got 20 hours played and also never saw it happen.
Watch markipliers vid, it happens at least once

The person complaining about no rain missed the entire point of the name. There's a RISK of rain. There is no guarantee of rain.

Pretty sure the rain is mainly metaphorical as well. The rain is likely the shipment boxes containing the loot, the blood of the enemies, or something else.

Admittedly, in the first game, the final stage always had rain on it

90% of negative reviews usually turn out to be "I just suck at the game" or "I don't like the genre". Neither of which are very good reviews. The latter being completely baffling like watching a vegan buy a leg of ham then complain that it contains meat.
You can like a genre and think certain mechanics often used in said genre are flawed.
Matthew Hibble I got stuck 17 times. Fuck that.
...leg of ham?
You can say the same about positive reviews
See here's the thing, I usually *don't* like shooter-type games so I was fifty-fifty on RoR2, but I loved it.
First review had a point, seems like his game bugged (understandable in an early access game), the rest of the review was pretty stupid tho
they made red snow like particles around the teleport by now. actually quite easy to see if you know how the particles look
@@konradrothenburger7078 again, the issue is that the teleporter bugged, no particles are going to help you with a teleporter you can't reach
If you have issues finding the teleporter, wich is big and very distinct of the enviroment, then it's just your fault really
@@rompevuevitos222 well the tp also sometimes spawned Half in a Rock or Wall. Wich does make it difficult to see. The particles also were in a fairly recent Patch that maybe (idno) wasnt there when he wrote the Review.

>spends 1 hour on second stage

Not finding the teleporter was actually a game issue which was corrected and it was placed better. I can attest to the fact that a teleporter was lodged in a mountain once where it was in the corner of a hill and mostly in said mountain. With as quick as the game is, i couldnt spend long scanning that incredibly specific nook and or cranny.
Lmfao
The funniest part of that review was I was one of those people who literally spent an hour on the second stage when I first played, because I didn't understand that you simply follow where the glowing pixels float towards. The first review is kind of right even in 2020 there are some ... questionable teleporter spawns even with the red particles.
True he had a good point there
Jesus guys don't go making the whole video invalid just cause he made a mistake with the first one
@Lunova
game is in early access but people whine about bugs? do you see how dumb that is? people are fucking morons and their opinions are meaningless because they can't even comprehend what early access means. it even TELLS you above the "add to cart" button FFS.
Ah yes, let's never tell a developer, who's currently developing their game, about bugs in their game that will break it, despite the developer using early access SPECIFICALLY to have that kind of help.
While we're at it, let's not tell the fire department that the hose they were going to use has an issue that could prevent it from pumping water. Clearly they'd rather let people die from the fire than be told that there's a flaw with their equipment.
Sarcasm aside, a review can be changed at any time, and I have changed my own reviews before after criticisms I made were adressed. If there is a bug that is so heavily impacting your experience that you'd not recommend the game because of it, you should sure as shit include that in a review.
@@fusrosandvich3738
you write a bug report NOT a steam review. a review is about the entire game in general, not one instance of a bug. you are the reason reviews are so fucked up, stop misusing them.
Rocksfir e there bug in game, I write about bug.
Pixelmaster99 Alright pixelmaster99, don’t eat your legos.
I know people think it’s “funny” to write a bad review that is actually good, but with indie devs it’s hella scummy. It makes people not think it’s good based on the “very positive” or the “mostly positive” thing. Of course if it’s positive then it’s good but some people may not be sure
the first point of the first review was true pre the most recent patch ( as of 16th april 2019 )
edit: the game just got another patch on the exact same day. just my luck.
There was no problem with it if you have played risk of rain one. The teleporter will ALWAYS be directly away from you on the other side of the map. Either they are playing with no particles and they dont see the teleporter like that or they are just straight up blind. Never had that problem because its simple rogue like logic.
@@everlygod2873 what they are saying is that in an earlier update the teleporter literally spawned INSIDE a wall sometimes. making it nearly or sometimes completely impossible to find.
It rains enemy projectiles.
Just played a few hours of RoR2 and had a lot of fun. It's kind of relaxing in a weird way since the stakes are so low.

Hopoo : creating one of the most amazing rouge-lites in history
Some randoms with: 2 minutes in the game : B O R I N G
5:17 is kind of a legitimate complaint. I feel like playing solo is more fun than playing co-op with a friend or with randoms just for the sole reason that I can get stronger faster solo. It's a mechanic in the game that I personally feel needs to be addressed because quite frankly there's no incentive to play with friends. All you end up with is just arguing with your friend over items you wanted.
Get the sharesuite mod. Any item picked up is giving to all players. Or just split the chests; each player takes a section of the map
if you getting used to it you find the teleporter in like 20 seconds they have fixed spawns
Love the headphones, I've owned a pair of the ATH50's for a long time now and still they are my go to headphones , great choice
All I can say to these people is *Play. The game. Longer.* I was extremely overwhelmed in my first playthroughs even on drizzle. After 50-100 hours I could throw myself into the game and finish runs with no problem with about a 70%-80% success rate. Then they added Mithrix.
*_SCREW MITHRIX_*
Nobody is throwing in tens of hours to drag themselves through a game they hate.
I think the reason the dude who stated "I have work in a few hours" gave it a negative review because he wanted to keep playing, but felt the progression may have been too taxing on his time or the the game was just too slow for the usual thing he's used to. It's probable that he does actually like the game, but just wishes it to be a little more lenient in regards to time consumption and how much available time the players have to enjoy themselves in the game.
Amazing video man, kept me entertained throughout the whole video and i'd love to see you grow. This series has potential so personally i'd reccomend maybe reading some reviews on those ridiculous hentai games on steam.

Pro tip: look for floating orange particles in the air. The teleport is there. You can spot it across the map on any map when you know what to look for....
If your talking about the first review it was a glitch that happened before hidden realms I think
This man saying “Other worlds” but it’s all set on one world :)
You'd make a great game master for dungeons and dragons..
To the first review: You can find the teleporter easier by looking for white sparkles in the air. Also, learn to spell first if you’re going to write an essay.
It was a glitch in early access that got fixed so dont blame him

there is a mod in which all player share the items but what i'd like is a function which allows you to drop item for others. you can just not pick it up when playing with friends but in quick play you ussually don't coordinate with random people.
btw yes 25-30 hours for the first playthrough seems good for people who addapt somewhat fast to the playstyle.
Theres also a mod for dropping items
I didn't know Rusty Venture started a youtube channel. Subbed
I've just been playing this for a month Abyssal and the swamp were really easy to get lost as a new player, but the layout to Abyssal isn't too bad after a few runs. I do still hate the swamp though and I still can't remember which corridors have the hidden areas that could be hiding teleport.
i just got it yesterday, how tf do you beat the first boss
You get better at moving and shooting and taking cover and eventually you just start winning!
The fact the teleport has an aura that isn't explained is ridiculous. Before I figured that out I'd sometimes have to end runs because I was searching for over 25 minutes and I gave up. I love the game but that should be made clear
"We're gonna find you and make you bald too!" Hahahahaha
Is their a playlist of this series lol
Not yet! It's too new, just started it a couple weeks ago.
I heard that the last area was broken for low mobility builds. What's with that?
It's real obvious who unlocked a character besides commando and who didn't
I played the game since launch, the first review was bullcrap, the teleporter's position isn't randomly generated, it has a set location that is chosen by random. It was hard to find because nobody knew that there were fireflies to indicate there's a teleporter. You have to keep playing the game to remember where the teleporter might be, I pretty much know all the locations. Takes practise.
They added the fireflies a week after the game was out. So it was way harder to find before. Sometimes it was sticking into walls. But never too much to not be able to find it
The first review was not bullshit but was a actual glitch that happend si stop thinking is a idiot and dont be like me because I dont research but he did make a comment on how he misinterpreted the first review
I didn't even know there was a second part
I remember not liking ror, i didnt itemize as much as I shouldve, but when i did oh boy did it come together

On the secryow thing lagging or not playing well I have played heard and seen people play and explain computers and I have heard that when you have a really good graphic card but not as good of RAM it try’s to handle more than it can so I just kinda bugs out.
Do you guys (assuming you've played it) recommend RoR2 as it is right now? I only found out that this game existed like at the 14th of April and I really want it, but it's in early access and I was wondering if it's a good time to get it now as it is. So do you guys recommend me getting this game at this point, or later when it's fully released? Please let me know your thoughts in the replies :)
If you enjoy the rogue-like/lite genre, absolutely. Every class feels unique (although some definitely more powerful than others) and the gameplay is very fluid and engaging at higher difficulties. There are very few items that are "bad", but in the grand scheme picking up any non-lunar item can only help you. And theres still a ton more content in development since it's an early access game
@@bonez994 Alright. I'll try to remember this game the next time I have some money to spare. Thanks for the help! :)
There were a lot of times where the teleporter was clipping inside of objects
In the beginning it is hard when you are new but after you know some of the items it gets easier

there is DEFINITELY overpowered as shit weapons you can find, but only if you can find them, legendary chest will usually give you some good shit, and also hard light afterburner on huntress is awesome.
The funniest part of the reviews that say they spent over an hour or more looking for the teleporter, never had the idea come around that maybe they should retry the stage incase something went wrong
the playtime judgement does have some exits,
low playtime: found game stopping glitches, or systems were impossible to work with
high playtime: wanted to give game a chance, but didn't have their opinion changed
0:27 OH GOD NO ITS MISSIGNO NOT HIM AGAIN
I mean I was lucky enough to have a friend who bought the game early and gave me his extra gifted copy.
One of the best hype moves I've seen a dev do besides release an early version as a torrent like Darkwood did. Give an extra copy to a friend so someone who is on the fence doesn't have to buy it. That def made me spend the $10 on the DLC that just came out.
Good video, i loved the funny voices you did :) You should explore doing more voice acting in your other videos if you havent already
