    I think that English-speaking learners are sometimes tempted to translate "even if" as "even"+"if" yielding 甚至如果 or 连如果. I believe these words would be incorrect in Chinese.
    Also …
    In Chinese, I think the 即使 expression needs to come first in the sentence, but in English, the "even if" expression is also okay placed at the end, as in some of the examples in the video, e.g.:
    即使外面下雪, 他也会出去跑步
    "He will go out for a run, even if it snows outside"

    The difficultly of Chinese is nothing but a myth. Spoken Chinese is not much different from English. Reading and writing are difficult but unnecessary if you just want to learn to speak it.

      yes,chinese has simple grammar than english, and the word(compound word) formation ability is very high, so it is easy to build up vocabulary.
      If write more, we can find the "common parts"(glyph formed from combination of strokes, acting like alphabet group, or syllable, or morpheme) that is like building block to built up many new words.
