I have a laser Canon and mine hangs up while it's installing the driver. It worked till I used windows 10 recovery. I had a lot of trouble in the past with Canon drivers. I solved the problem I put the printer in my closet and went down to Walmart and got a HP printer. all the HPs I had in the past I reinstalled the driver over and over and never had a problem. HP is the best.
Just go straight to what you want to print and press printer your printer will come up and print. If not press the WiFi to refresh and your printer name will come up to print
Like everyone else, not really impressed with the printer. Got it set up, tried to print a page. Said the printer was not connected. 20 minutes later, I walked by and the page had printed. My gripe, nothing in the "getting started" booklet shows what the indicators on the left are for.

Yes! I moved and it will not connect to new wifi. I've tried every troubleshooting guide they have. I had just bought new ink and really don't want to buy a new one but it looks like thats what I'm going to do.
@@kelceylatham9604 Kelcey, I had to move the printer in the same room as my router, hence, having to reinstall twice. After doing that and following the same steps in the manual, it worked. Apparently, it no longer liked the interference.

In not getting a connection. Not even from my smartphone. Haven't used it in two mos. It was working before but I've only used it maybe six or seven times since bought it last June. Now it's not connecting. I'm using a MacBook Pro. OS Catalina. On the Canon support page as it identifies my OS, it says "There is no driver for the OS version selected. The driver may not be included in your OS or may not be needed". Hope that helps.

Usually, I would prefer a cable to print things from your computer and touch screen device. This option is a good idea because I struggled with the same thing and when I used the cable it worked perfectly so the cable would be a way better choice in my opinion.

Porsha Edmun i made sure my ink was in rift . It really has to snap in.!! Try that then the turn it off and back on. Hope this helps

My internet provider upgraded to 5G and I don’t think this printer is 5G compatible
I forgot to update this post but I was able to reinstall the software and everything works. I actually did this twice.

It works with Apple AirPrint and Google CloudPrint, so once you have it set up on the network your phone and tablets should be able to connect easily.

Yeah, it prints via wifi, not your cell service. Get it set up with a computer and you will be off and printing in no time.
