Skateboarding and wakeskating are very similar sports, with the exception that one is on land, and the other water...duh. But with Matti Buys on the wakeskate, and Jean-Marc Johannes skateboarding on the dock, which sport would win in a classic game of S.K.A.T.E.?

Anyone that's done both knows that wake skating is WAY harder than skateboarding. This isn't a good comparison.

It was a chellenge, so
I do both (and also snow and wakeboarding) and I'm not so sure about the "WAY" harder but one thing I'm 100% sure of is that skateboarding hurts a LOT more and it's WAY scarier than wakeskating when trying to go big (water vs concrete probably ;).
Actually to me skateboarding is technically the most difficult of all of these sports. But I just love them all.. same spirit!

If you skateboard you should try it! Don't be discouraged if it's harder than you expected at first, that happened with a couple of my friends. Just like in skateboarding you can't just hop on and start shredding, but once you get the feel it's addicting.
If there was a place near me where I could try it out, I definitely would give it a go. The closest thing I've tried is snowboarding, surfing and skating

Not everyone can just go out and wakeskate though. Especially with a winch. And just about anyone no matter how poor you are you can find a way to skateboard.

Yea. You can't nollie a wakeskate.
It nosedives I've tried I skate and wakeskate I wakeskate a lot more just can't film it
Wakeskates get their pop from building pressure against the water. You wouldn't nose dive either unless you kicked the shit outta the very tip of the board. If your feet were in nollie position and ollied it would still pop from middle/back of board but not very high.

Not that one sport is harder than the other, but flip tricks are harder on wakeskate.
Your average skateboarder can do way more flip tricks than wakeskater. A wakeskate is 3xs bigger, weighs about 10lbs, and has to go about 21mph in flats.
I'm 24 and can do 3 shuvs but haven't landed a kickflip and have been wakeskating since I was 16. Kickflip on skateboard didn't take much time
wow im 18 been skating for 2 years and landed a kickflip first day trying on a wake skate, there not that hard
