- Trying to find motivation for the oldest boys I challenged them to learn deck the halls over Christmas break. Whoever learned the song first would earn $20... Let's just say, one did not accept the challenge but was expecting to get paid, NOT ON MY WATCH LOL

It’s Theo checking the $20 bill for me.🤣🤣
Theo knew which chords Riah was missing. Wow! Go Theo
Theo is the cutest kid ever 😭Riahs logic with earning "It" was pretty impressive 😂😂
“Looks like a dance move” lol. I love the different personalities in the family. It’s refreshing to see.
My boi checking the money
💀🤣
Right 😂😂😂
Trust but verify!!! Good job Theo!!
For some people seeing someone else get praised and rewarded makes them want to achieve that too and be #1 but some people feel demotivated because they dont initially believe they can achieve it. And I feel like its more important to realise the internal value of working, the pathway itself rather than awards and final destinations. I think Theo is very dedicated and goal oriented with big mental strenght. He will be the guy who just does it. The kind of kid to have good grades in every subject. But Riah works with passion, he is critical and analytical of what he does. His work is bound with emotion, so if he feels inspired he will do excellent, but if not he wont even bother. The type of student that gets good grades only in subjects he likes. I might be wrong tho, but to me it seems like that from what Ive seen so far. They are all great and dont you worry dad, kids will be all right.
Also, Riah is you Belief. And thats why you pick on him lol, you know it. I always felt like my father always had something against me, and I was always getting on his nerves tryna be brave and stuff. I was actually really frustrated and thought he didnt like me as he liked other kids. Came to realise we are really similar in temperament
So true with the distinct differences they can all be successful at whatever they choose. I think he wants to encourage Riah so that he is able to get it and not struggle like he did. I also think Riah sees he has a lot in common with his father. Riah's emotions get the best of him. If he can learn to master his own emotions he can do anything.
Agree with all of this! Glen said in a previous video that he was just like Riah growing up. Which makes me 100% secure that Uriah will be alright!🤗🥰💪🏾🤑🙏🏾
This makes a lot of sense. I am like that even as an adult at times. If it doesn’t speak to my heart, it’s a bit harder to do it at 100 percent, but it’ll take time. Smh… I’m sure I was probably the same a child. I also agree with the parent and child who are just alike in a sense… there always seems to be a challenge too in comparison to the other kids. My brother and nephew couldn’t stand each other and it’s bc they were the same exact person. Great comment and observation!
Lovely. Dad was fair, encouraging and motivating with Riah. Riah knows how to just cut up and tries to push buttons. He knows Dad wants him to value work, so he says, ' I want a servant,'😄😄
“It looks like a dance move” Uriah is so funny 🤣🤣🤣!!
I love how Theo was still being positive about what Riah was doing well while he was playing the piano. That's a good big brother!
The way the kids looked back at their mom" wait a minute..you poked a hole in the wall." ..then the video cuts to the next day😆 😭
He can't please you, and he really really wants to, but he doesn't know how. He sees his father constantly disappointed in his progress as compared to his siblings and resentment is slowly building. Competition is not valuable to Uriah at this point because in his mind he knows he'll never win.
Why is no one talking about how Theo is trying to make sure the money is real? He is a grown man in a little boys body.
This little girls beauty, just like her mothers, takes my breath away. So beautiful first inside then out.😍
I’m so proud of Theoooo 😍❤️ he’s growing up so fast 😢😭
Riah 🤣🤣🤣 Dad asking if he wants something or nothing: "I want a servant." Of course he does, so he can have them get him that $20!!!😂😂😂 He's definitely quick thinking!
Let's hear it for the dog! She was trying to keep the peace. 😂😂
I'm on Team Riah. I want him to win. I know and believe that he has the potential to win. Go Riah!!!
You are a super Dad. You have no idea how much i needed this growing up. Sigh. Keep doing what you do Bro 🎉
“Well let’s do it then. COME OWN!!”
Lily trying to break up the fight 😄
Wait minute you poked a hole in the wall got me😂
Glenn you have patience. Thank you for sharing with us the reality of parenting.
I love this moment so much. So many lessons and all beautifully explained all while honor the kids differences and reactions to what’s going on🤍 I hope to be this kind of parent
I love how you ended it with hugs and kisses for Uriah. Awesome dad and family! 🥰🙏🏽
Cuz really holding up that bill to the light like he know what to look for.
Ummm Uriah, how are you going to pay that "servant"? 🤣🤣🤣
Be that as it may, I've decided I want cleaning staff and a chef. I need to figure out my own! 🤣🤣
I feel like Riah may be getting embarrassed when he fails in front of the camera. It's a lot less embarrassing to fail when you haven't tried than to try hard and then fail. Maybe try not to set a 'finish line' or goal. Just say what do you want to do and ask him how long he thinks he can do it for. Like 'how much time do you think you can practice piano this week?' If he says 3 hours that's his own goal, with no reward attached. Then up it or lower it next week depending on if he did it. That's what works for me as someone who gets embarrassed by failure.
I love how you break stuff down and teach them. I'm over here learning how to parent too.
Theo reminds me of my older brother. So smart he loved instruments. He’s 29 now graduated college now works for FPL. He’s getting married soon as well . Theo is going to be amazing. ❤ I’m also the only girl of 4
I usually watch every upload as soon as it dropped but I haven’t been on here a few months. I cant believe how big uzi and Anaya have gotten! I love these videos as a mother of 4.
Beleaf, the way you talked with Riah, were engaged with him even through his wanting to hit you was really good. I appreciate your patience with and affection towards him. Thank you for sharing. It has great impact!
Theo is hilarious for checking the bucks 🧠💰Uriah deserves a good round of old school slap boxing 🥊 😂 Aniyah is jus pure intelligence 👑 💅🏼And Uzi is his own damn species , but where was my puddin this episode🧐🙃 Either way love u family ❤️
I see me and my siblings in your kids. They way you encourage them as individuals is refreshing.
Love to see you teaching them life lessons. They are so well rounded and are growing so much ❤️
No Theo is not trying to check to see if that $20 is real?!
You cannot fake results is my favorite part
It’s amazing to see how mature the boys are now 👏🏾👏🏾
This tip is for Theo and used by grocery stores, an easy way to check for counterfeit money is to spray the bill with windex and if it's fake, the ink will run. 🤣
You're awesome dad l love that about you ❤️ 😘 💕 ♥️
Reminds me of something clause. Everybody getting something 😂😂
yay a new beleaf in fatherhood video! 😃 i love your family and your videos make my day so much. love from canada ❤
Lilly's playing referee! Lol 😆😅🤣😂
Such spam on this video already smh...
Great lessons here for Riah. He's going to be the challenge. Finding different ways to motivate him to strive and work hard for the goal.
It’s Theo checking the money for me 😂 because same
“I want a servant” 😂😂😂😂
It’s Theo checking the money for me 😂😂
This was a whole sitcom
Well done Theo! Keep practicing and playing! It's a regret of mine that I never learned to play. It's a talent I admire in others and a beautiful form of expression for both the artist and the admirer/listener. ❤️ Riah's dance move, his giggles and his Riah logic always make me smile. Yvette's voice O My!!! Amazing.
Poppa, thank you for sharing your Chocolate Babies Fam and your Day with us!
I think Anaya and Uzi would do well learning to play also.
Y’all looking like Kung Fu Jones and KenJi! 😂😂😂 🥋
riah walking on one leg😂 i love these kids so much
I think the most important part of parenting is learning about one self while allowing our children to develop into the best version of themselves, whatever that looks like. Encourage creativity or if they enjoy sports support that as well. We can introduce things to them, but I think it is more important to listen and be mindful of what stimulates their attention and growth. ❤ You guys are doing a wonderful job with your kids, they are very smart, funny and articulated and that’s perhaps because they feel safe and heard.
Awww i think Uriah definitely needs a more loving and fun approach to learning!! I know dad is trying to teach that the world isnt always going to be easy but he is still a kid developing in this wild world!
I am Riah lol, I struggled with focusing and following through with tasks and even as an adult sometimes I still do. The problem was the goal seemed out of reach when I looked at all the final product. Instead I would break down the big goal into smaller ones. Instead of “Learn Deck the Halls by next week” maybe “I want you to learn Deck the Halls by next week. Rehearse the first line of Deck the Halls for 15 minutes for the next two days” would be more feasible. Still shows him the overall goal but helps him to develop that discipline and personal drive and see for himself that he has what it takes to accomplish it. I love that you keep encouraging him and that you celebrate the accomplishments of each child.
Right is funny talking about it looks like a dance move🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
Love you guys. Such a beautiful family.
00:10 narrator: it was not fine.
I used to love wrestling with my uncle as a kid. This made me smile. Love you guys!
This reminded me of the rewards we will get in heaven for some reason? Is it just me 😂
Well done Theo! I wonder if Uriah actually enjoys this task. Is this something he actually cares to do? However, I'm sure he will get it soon enough. Your children are brilliant 👍🏽
AWSOME FAMILY ❤️❤️
Im not sure if that much funning with Uriah isn't agressive in an emotional way because you'll always be superior and dominanating at this time. I understand playing around I grew up in a home with all boys but me so I've seen it all. Are you and Riah working out anger in this way on both sides? That's what it looks like. May not be the most productive way. A. challenge to a slap off in the face? Take it or leave it that's just a comment and question.
Since riah likes to fight and try to fight a lot he could try out for boxing lessons
Theo's musical ear 👀
I think it's important to ask Uriah how he feels about his brother winning/earning the $20 for learning to play that Christmas song on the piano. Also ask him why he didn't apply himself to learning the song, why didn't he make that commitment/effort. Then ask him what does he think he could do differently, in the future, to apply himself in reaching those goals. Ask him how he thinks he would feel if he completed those challenges/tasks.
Why lil boys like getting beat up by their dads 😂😂
Not Theo looking to see if the $20.00 is real?😅
Ok so Riah and hard work don't go well together, so he's going to have to win the lottery or be so incredibly successful in whatever he pursues, that he can afford a "servant". 😂😂😂 What in the world does a 9-11 year old need with a servant, KMSL.
Nice to be here this early
Nice
❤
0:10💀🤣
I feel like Riah has ADHD. Idk if you guys have got him checked or are doing any kind of therapy/management for him but I would definitely take a look.
Both the parable of the workers and the parable of the talents comes to mind in seeing this, actually. That GOD, as the one who owns the field and hires the workers, still pays the same wage for each worker even though some of them are recruited later on. If Uriah DOES the work, he receives the same wage in the LORD. But if he hides his talents because of fear, then he will reap that.
I genuinely love Riah. But im equally frustrated that he doesn’t like to but work into anything. I just hope the « click » will come as he gets older because life comes at you fast. Kid or not.

Put Theo in taekwondo
