That may be the way itâs supposed to be wired but I would strongly recommend that owners actually verify how their particular trailer is wired. You should be absolutely certain that your emergency brake system is powered when youâre on the road.
BTW, Todd, I got the same wiring diagram from a tech support person at a division of Forest River. Is that where you got that diagram?

So that's a good way to test if the switch works and the brakes are at least trying to work? Then reset it. And continue testing?

So if the emergency brake switch is activated, how do you reset it?
Once the brake away switch is actived it will drain your battery if you don't disengage it.
If someone wanted to put an rv in their back yard what are the components they would need? Some type of base, 120v 30A etc.
I have seen people put the master cut off straight off the battery, and power distro after the switch and if done that way, nothing works.
