Fun Fact: Kano was originally in this game BUT, they decided they wanted a 'NEW' character, so the re-skinned Kano and named him Jarek! That's why he has Kano's Fatalities, including an eye laser Fatality that makes ZERO sense!

Quan Chi coming out of buttfuck nowhere to just CLOCK Sub-Zero is... potentially the funniest moment in Mortal Kombat history. That, and the fact in the Nintendo 64 version of this game, a lot of the endings end with some off-screen dude just going "... alright." Oh, and the fact the Dreamcast version adds in a few new characters and ALL of them are totally buggy messes. Okay, so maybe this game is just hilarious in general.
This was such a weird sequel, even in the same decade that brought us Mortal Kombat live shows and shoestring budget MK TV dramas. It might be my least favorite main entry, but it's so damn funny that I still sorta love it. "OH I'M GONNA THROW YOU OVER THERE!" is the greatest voice clip in fighting games.

Fun fact: Scorpion's ending where he takes Quan Chi with himself to the NetherRealm is actually canon. He spent a good time tormenting Quan Chi, and the next game starts with Quan Chi fleeing from Scorpion and escaping the NetherRealm in MK: Deadly Alliance's intro opening. You guys should react to the intro if/when you do the endings for Deadly Alliance as the main plot is very linked to the opening scene and the shocking events that happen in it.

So the order of the Jarek Trilogy was:
- Sonya (Jarek dies, Sonya exits safely)
- Jarek (Sonya falls, Jarek laughs, then it ends)
- Jax (Sonya falls, then Jax kills Jarek)
It wasn't shown in the video but the Jax one cut off the beginning where Sonya and Jarek have their little exchange ("It's over Jarek!"); all three endings have the same beginning, but Jax's is the longest and what I like to call the "actual" ending because it's the most ridiculous of the three lol

I would recommend reacting to the cutscenes in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero. It came out before MK4 and the PS1 version had cheesy live action FMV cutscenes in between levels. You two will get some laughs out of them.

I’m not going to lie, watching y’all’s reaction to the funny endings of MK4 was so enjoyable and I literally died laughing when y’all were laughing at Sub-Zero’s ending when Quan Chi blindsides him and then stomps him like madness. I was like “Are there Jolly Ranchers or Doritos in that pocket?” Cause the way Quan Chi stomped on Sub-Zero and you heard the crunch sound, that looked like a pack of Doritos or Jolly Ranchers cracking 😂. And I actually felt bad for both Baraka and Reptile that both of them ended up with a bad ending. By the way that was a good question that Baraka brought up to Quan Chi. How in the hell do you rule the world with no one in it? That to me was just absolutely dumb. At least Baraka has a brain unlike the madman of a sorcerer.

Jax’s ending is the best one for obvious reasons. Also, I enjoyed Liu Kang and Johnny Cage’s ending too but I especially enjoyed Liu Kang’s because of how Liu reacts to seeing Kitana. Anyways, nice job and it’s soo funny seeing Liu Kang say “Lick” in his ending

- The "Elder God" in Raidans ending reminds me too hard of Power Rangers
- I imagine that Scorpion and Quan Chi just stood there forever.. menacingly
- I love how Baraka was the only one with e functioning brain and logic
- The blue guy looked even more like the face in old Power Rangers or Dr Manhattan with diabetes

Mortal Kombat 4 is the first Mortal Kombat Game who is 3D. İt has a creepy aura with it's soundtrack but when it comes to the endings it becomes so funny with terrible dialogues and voice acting. Your reactions even makes it funnier. Mileena's and Tanya's endings are my favorites by the way.

To think the arcade version of MK4 had no CG cutscenes, all endings were done with the polygonal characters you play as acting the lines out, and some endings were actually different.

The animation was good for it's generation. I enjoyed it when I played it on Dreamcast. Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance and Deception and Armageddon are great games with great content.
Deception has a chess game and a Tetris puzzle mini game. Armageddon has a racing mini game and a create a fighter selection for you to create your own combatant. They have they're own story mode called Mortal Kombat Konquest.
The racing mini game is amazing. They need to bring that back for MK12 😀
As someone pointed out in this chat earlier reiko was supposed to have been intended to be shao kahn reborn but the writers Scrapped that and turned him into a joke.

Little backstory on Cyrax:
He was a member of the Lin Kuei (Chinese for Forest Ghost) Clan along with Sektor, Smoke and Sub-Zero; both he and Smoke were forcibly turned into cyborgs as part of the Cyber initiative brought on by Sektor's father. Sektor on the other hand volunteered to be turned into a cyborg, while Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) managed to escape and became a marked man).
In both timelines, Cyrax has managed to regain his independence, while Sektor and Smoke still try to track him down (though there is still some good left in Smoke as hinted in Mortal Kombat Deception; Ashrah's ending).

MK4 or "Gold" on Dreamcast is definitely one of the more goofier ones especially the trilogy between Jax, Sonya and Jarek.
I also found Liu's to be a little bit humorous solely because of what he says to Kitana.
It's hard to hear what he actually says but kinda sounds like he's saying "I thought you were gonna lick my..." but Kitana cuts him off so I wonder how that ends?
Either way although 4 isn't the greatest Mortal Kombat its definitely not the worst and often will have you laughing.
A game that can make us laugh will always have a place in our heart even if the laughs weren’t originally intended 😁
