    I believe you should call it not immigration but illegal immigration. You are lowering legal immigrants reputation. People don’t stop to differentiate one from the other when the news keep putting the two in the same bag. How about if I call you yellow journalists . I believe you won’t like it. I’m a legal, productive , law abiding immigrant and a citizen in the country I live in for 8 years and all this portrait of immigration has people treating all immigrants as illegal in productive ones. I believe the fault is in the governments that are allowing it. Proper Controls must be set and it seems governments are the ones that don’t want to set them .

    • @DesignFIaw
      @DesignFIaw Před 23 dny +1

      Yet, we have two sides, one claiming it's not an issue and it's only good for us; and the other which claims it's a grand ploy of powergrab that's meticulously planned but still somehow causes the plotters' downfall.
      We've forced our society into a situation where we have to choose which fellow human to help and who to leave behind over what boils down to money. On the top, all I hear is how the choice the "other side" makes is bad, and barely anyone raising a voice against the situation itself. We should know better.

    • @DesignFIaw
      @DesignFIaw Před 23 dny +1

      @@phoenixhenson3689 I think you missed my points. Leaving history completely aside, the immigrants that cause the bulk of the issue now come to live in the obscenely rich countries of western europe.
      You are right, it IS the powerful who pull the strings. But I doubt it's the politicians. They are just juggling public sentiment, greedy internal players and the lobby of the rich. Hardly a powerful role. The people who have the money, now THOSE people truly make the decisions.
      As far as I am concerned, the same people who benefitted from waging destructive wars in far away lands, and exploiting the country left behind after those wars, are also the same people who now benefit from exploitable, cheap labor coming to the rich markets of the west.
      If the superrich paid their fair share of taxes just for a few days a year, we could provide for the needs of all the asylum seekers who come in - even if they did nothing but sit around idly. Same goes for our own struggling people.
      Europe has shown before that it can kick out those who wield the most power. It wont be us, commenting on YT videos, or PhDs writing economic dissertations. But - to use your own word - it would be cynical to think we cannot do better.
