Scoliosis Reduction from 53 Degrees to 23 Degrees: Ronica's Story

Ronica was trying on graduation dresses for middle school when her mother noticed something wrong with her shoulders. The dress straps were not fitting properly, and the same issue persisted with different dress sizes and styles.
They consulted with three different doctors until concluding that she had scoliosis. This diagnosis was made official when the third doctor did an X-Ray on her spine and found a 19 degrees curvature with rotation.
After leaving the curve untreated, it progressed to 27 degrees in a few months. To treat this moderate curve, she started wearing a Boston brace. After a year and a half with the brace, doctors confirmed the curve progressed to 50 degrees and booked her for surgery.
Addressing the curve while still small could have prevented Ronica's initial progression to 27 degrees. It could have been easily reduced after it progressed to this stage, but this is when she started wearing a mass-produced Boston brace that does not correct the condition.
The Boston brace is a squeezing style brace designed to slow down progression. At SRC, we use the ScoliBrace, a corrective style brace that is personalized to each patient and constantly tweaked based on curve reduction.
After doctors suggested surgery, a family friend recommended Dr. Nalda. After consultation, Ronica began intensive care with a functional approach of reducing the curve as much as possible while regaining mobility and flexibility.

Hi Dr. Nalda, my daughter is 19yo, her scoliosis was around 30 degrees before covid, but now I can see that it has gotten worse, the specialist at the time would not recommend surgery unless it is over 35 degrees; we are from Australia. Do you have an office in CA? My thoracic curve is at 50.1 as of recent, 5 years ago it was at 45…What do you recommend…? I do have bad sitting posture and sleeping posture..which probably contributed to the increase. I would love to decrease it and not have to get surgery. 😢

I have scoliosis and I'm 16 and my highest point of my curve is 54 and I still have 1 and a half year of growth left and I have a scoli brace too, so how much if you had to estimate would it decrease by in the next year and a half and if I do my exercises everyday too?
