When i apply the tattoo balm, to make sure it's not too much, i use a tissue and cover the zone of the tatto and then tap the tissue gently on the tattoo, thus removing any excess balm, i've been doing this for my last 2 tattoos and the healing process has been flawless :)

I would love to see your take on diet after a new tattoo - i have religiously followed an anti-inflammatory diet since my newest bright coloured tattoo, and I have to say it feels great and my tattoo looks amazing since the beginning. :)

I got my first tattoo on my wrist 5/6 days ago and after watching a bunch of your videos I am worried I might not have been doing the right steps.
My main concerns are the sun and working out. I live in a HOT climate, so wearing long sleeves aren’t always the most ideal. Can you please suggest how I could protect my tattoo from the sun. Secondly, is it okay for me to go on walks? And lastly, I have noticed some scabbing and cracking in the tattoo is that normal?

Hi, I have anew 2 day old forearm tattoo of a phoenix in yellows oranges and reds with black. He mixed the ink in the caps with water. covering the whole front. I will say that I got this to match the one I got on the other arm that's a month old and it's purple and blue ink and was fine an hour after tattoo. Nothing like this. My whole arm from wrist to elbow is blowing up. The tattoo itself feels like im still being tattooed. There's an enormous red patch all the way around and under my arm. I called and they tried to play it off saying clean it and air it out more. I have had alot of tattoos but nothing like this ever happened. I went home with a bandage cleaned it off and put the saniderm transparent dressing they gave me on it after and it has been super clean the entire time. My arm is huge
Sounds like possible infection or a bad reaction to the red ink, which is fairly common for a lot of people. How is your arm doing now?
17 and just got a tattoo on my bicep. I do not have anti-bacterial soap, so right after i pull off the tattoo film, can I just use normal soap? I also have aquaphor gel that I would like to put on the tattoo. It's been a full 24 hours since I got the tattoo, so I am going to wait another day to take off the film and start the healing process, but when I take it off in the shower, do I necessarily need to use soap after to clean it or will it be clean in the shower? Can i use the aquaphor gel once/twice a day for two days before I start using lotion? What should I do?

How long should I keep my cling wrap on? My artist recommended 5 days but don't I need to wash it at some point?
Hello Harry, you should only wear the cling film for 3-4 hours after you get tattooed and the first night so you dont get the fresh "wound" mixed into your sheets. You should definitely wash and clean your tattoo! tattoo film is another topic! Jacob - Team Sorry Mom

just dont put it under the showerhead and to wash the tattoo just cup the water and pour it onto your tattoo

Hello Benhulk, Congratulations with the ink! we recommend that you use a tattoo balm for 3-4 weeks until the tattoo is fully healed and then some. Long pants should not be a problem, you just need to make sure that you do not creating friction and the tattoo does not feel red or anything like that. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
HELP! I just got a new tattoo and the artist told me to only wash it with water for the first three days, NO soap. Should i be suspicious of these instructions? I've searched the whole internet and everybody says to wash your new tattoo with soap immediately.
Hello, so im a nobody but i have alot of tattoos. I can't imagine not using soap!! Even the professional in this video said to use soap. I absolutely think you should use it but just be gentle and dont scrub. Just lather it up softly and be sure to rinse thoroughly. Like i said, im a nobody but surely im not wrong.
