In this throwback episode, Food Lovers’ editor, Kripal Amanna stops by for an evening snack on his way back to Bengaluru from Arcot. He savours the scrumptious paneeyarams and a flavoursome podi idli before settling down with an Alankar combo platter that encompasses a tasting of the eatery’s popular snacks.

I am staying in Vellore from more than three years now and can't resist myself from commenting on this amazing video of Alankar. I always appreciate their services and food quality.
In south India its really a blessing to have such good pure vegetarian restaurant in our reach good and authentic taste.
I love Tamil Nadu food .. the best in the world .. ❤️...
The look of utter satisfaction on Kripal's smiling face, after popping in every single one of those podi idli's, is proof enough of how delicious & well made those button sized morsels must have been! The trifecta of the chutneys served on the side look so fresh. Amazing fare being served at that restaurant and that too at such pocket friendly prices. Unbelievable! Loved the episode.
Adai with Jaggery and Ghee (Thuppa) used to be a treat at home when we were growing up!!
Great video as always Kripal. Adai with vennai (butter) and vellam (gud) is traditionally enjoyed by Tamilians and a classic combination 🙂
Our tradition, our culture and our food put together 👍💎💙💓.. beautiful place and awesome yummy food... How you were relishing each bite 👍👌⭐.. hat's off to you for sharing and discovering such foodie places... 😋🙏💝
Thanks a lot Mr.Kripal Amana for bringing up this part of the food journey. What a coincidence that past two days we had vazhakkai bajji, sugiyam & was about to have adai with avial or jaggery. Think u read our minds to savour evening snacks during this rainy season. Vellore & parts of it has a rich culture & tradition of food cuisine. I hope to u have had a great time traveling & visiting places from namma Bengaluru to namma Chennai. Ending was superb with authentic dabara set filter coffee. Luved every bit watching as u luved eating the food.

Kripal I have said it umpteen times and will say again there ain't a food blogger like you in the entire world just for the fact as to how you go about describing each dish as in how it is to be consumed and how it tastes. Adai and Jaggery is such a wonderful combination. I never knew we can make Adai using Millet. I will probe this.
Kuli / Vellai Paniyaram goes particularly well with a spicy thakkali (tomato) chutney and with some white coconut chutney exactly as you are eating it. It is always great to see you enjoying food and talking about it. Stay blessed always!

Kripal sir millet dosa was amazing tasty but one nothing mam is missing from long time? 💖
sir every tamil home has indigeneously made puttu maker, and tamils love their puttu like malayalis, but by people moving to cities, tamil nadu highly urbanised tamils feel puttu eating is coarse village like graduating to idly but in cental, south t.n it is is still very popular, dont forget south kerala ruled by madurai(sout t.n)based pandyan rulers,so the food was same, infact hardly 700 years ago malayalam was given birth by tamil
My own place vellore...alankar ...I like cofee...
Good restaurant in vellore
On a different note: wearing your signature turtle neck vest in sweltering heat of vellore in itself is intriguing
From october to february end the weather in vellore wild be mild from mid November to early feb it will be really cold .

I wish it was white homemade butter on the adai. I remember whenever my mom made ghee she saved some white butter and we had hot adai the next day.

Your state?
Is this an old video? Why do I get a feeling that I watched it before? De Javu?
Yes, I got this feeling too.
Yes...check the description
Check the description, they mention it is a throwback video ie an old video.
@@akankshapatwari4167 'old and repeat' differ in their meaning, aren't they? When I said "i watched it before", I meant repeat, not just old.
They are repeating an old video. They are calling it a throwback video. When you repeat something it becomes old doesn't it?
Price???
This video is already seen
Just 1km away in the same direction of alankar you find ranipet campus of Christian medical college... serving lives for more than 100 years
Price of eatables look quite reasonable. Why no other guests are seen..
He has gone at 530, it usually will be busy. And it's one of best veg restaurants
Simple it's around Ambur, Ambur means biriyani , so how someone will experience a veg cuisine when they are in a biryani Paradise 😂
Maybe it was the timing and that too on a week day.
@@aravindkumarponnusamy3994 not everyone will have non veg and not everyday, I'm from ambur and i prefer veg than biriyani
@@zayn5548 reallyyy... Veg over biryani.... that to in Ambur ,,, we nutshells literally drive 3 hrs just to taste your biryani
Why repetition. Have watched it earlier
Yes...check the description
What?u never had non-veg avail,,come again think twice.Forgotten you had the fish meal thali type of Sadya in Kozhikode, remember their Fish Avail...
Why no rating?in the description. Also the item is known as sulkkina.unde in udupi
