  • Most of the vlogs on Bangkok focus on the 'downtown' area but it's a gargantuan city, with 50 pretty diverse districts. In today's vlog, I will show you a random day here in East Bangkok. If I filmed it the following day, it may be very different.
I always say that, in this part of the city, if you want to see another foreigner, then arrange to meet them as you are unlikely to bump into one, and that's one of the many reasons I love this part of town. Furthermore, unlike many other countries in this part of the world, nobody particularly gives a sh*t one way or the other about your presence. I just want to show you that, if you leave your preconceptions behind, you can actually get by pretty well within everyday Thai society.
If you Google "10 things to do in East Bangkok" or "10 things to do in Minburi/Nong Chok", none of the things I will show you today (except the market) will be on that list.
After a morning's 'wandering', I pick up a 'special' guest, somebody that I am very much encouraging to get back outside into the world somewhat as he has been a hermit for a few years now - you will likely recognise him.
IF you relax a little and get firmly out of the 'they're' trying to rip me off attitude, you will LOVE areas such as these as much as I do.
If you want to see more like this or something in particular, leave a comment below and, if possible, I shall endeavour to facilitate your needs.
