At 9:38, that was incredibly priceless! Him doing the dance spin and poses at the end made me laugh alot! Actually I woke up some of my neighbors, oooops!!
There was a brief amount of time, awhile back.... When they got RID of TWO of the 3 Strikes (X's) & ONLY used the ONE Strike, up to the three total......thereby possibly increasing more chances of winning.... I think Bob was still hosting then too, but I hadn't actually recalled Drew being a part of that too....?? I wish they'd go back to that, just using the 1 strike up to the 3 strikes.... But it's been a part of regular play again, 3 strikes discs... OTHERWISE, 3 Strikes is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to win most of the time....
I enjoy watching the old episodes of The Price Is Right. Seeing the Corvette 3LT was great. I guessed $54 K for the Vette. I ordered my new C8 Corvette 2LT convertible last December. Sticker price was $ 86 K plus.
That’s person on the right in the beginning does not know how to bid. If you bid over your done so she bids 899 and another guy had already bid 900. So the only way she wins if it’s exactly 899. The smarter play would had been 601 above the 600 guy.
Wait till the IRS get a hold of John for all those prizes. You can't take the prizes until you pay the taxes and you can trade for cash so you get nothing.
You only have to pay the California sales tax immediately, but that would still be almost ten thousand dollars. You can then sell the prizes to pay the income tax, because the income tax is still due the next year like with everything. Why California charges sales tax on a prize makes even less sense than the federal government charging income tax on them. Both laws need to be repealed, and it amazes me that no president or government has run to end that crap.
@@litigioussociety4249 sales tax is up to individual states, not a federal issue. Federal tax the year of signed papers with intent to claim prizes. You can win the whole show, not sign papers with intent to claim any prizes, no taxes due. California speaks for itself.
@@litigioussociety4249 correct, April 15th for the previous year income. When claiming prizes you sign documents of the value of items that will be added to normal income to be taxed, due April 15th.
Yeah this looks straight out of the 80s. This wasn't long after Drew took over for Bob. I heard that Bob wouldn't let the producers change the sets, props, and backdrops. Thankfully it all got refreshed in the last few years.
Yeah, even though they touched up the set with a new look for the turntable, onstage doors and Showcase podiums when Drew first took over, it still had many similarities to the Barker-era set...and yes, the episode was from Nov. 07, only a couple of months into Drew's run as host.
Drew in these first few years that he hosted had zero personality and wit compared to the great Bob Barker, but he did get much more comfortable and entertaining over the years since.
That first showcase has to be the worst one I’ve seen.. IMO the wine cabinet, couches and carpet are all really ugly.. and an organ? Definitely a hard pass
When the 3 Strikes game came out, there were originally 3 strike disks. In order to increase the number of winners in the game they eventually only put 1 strike disk into the bag in which the host would simply just place it back into the bag after it was drawn out. I heard they recently went back to placing 3 strike disks back into the bag though.
Just, fmi-can anyone tell me when they changed, from, "...the star of..." to, "...your host...", in the 'open?' Thank-you!! ("Enquiring minds..."and, all, that-you know!) Oh...for a moment, I thought Mr. Hall intoned, "...a new Corvair!" Lol! Man, the backdrop, on the car, has been around since dinosaurs roamed the earth! "...there's even less numbers..."?! Could you endeavour, saying that, again, Mr. Carey-this time, in proper English, please?! Sad! As, for the game-always, have hated it and, always, will-why hasn't Mike Richards pulled the plug, on this one? "Any Number", too, should head, for the oil sands, along with "Bonus Game"! Now, must go back and re-watch, "How The Difference Was Zero." Thanks, for your time. 'Hope you, peacefully, are resting, Messrs. Olson and, Roddy. I remain, as always, your humble servant...
I LOVE to see people sooo happy when they win.
John's break dance spin sent Drew (and me) over the edge with laughter!!! John has a bit of rhythm too!!!
@ParaWarnerViacom-17 Enterprises, Inc. Yeah he had me laughing with him!
Hi Caramel from Edmonton,Canada 👍🏼❤️
@@dannymcnamara2554 Hello from Arkansas
With that corvette I'm sure alot of women would say that too about him
@@kenyattasimpson8468 Him having rhythm? What's his Corvette have to do with him dancing?
I loved watching this video. That was an excellent win.
I absolutely ADORE Drew Carey. He is genuinely SO happy for the winners
John pulling that boat with his Vette!
I really enjoyed seeing bob barker's guest appearance on t.p.i.r. And the standing ovation he was given I almost cried.
An organ?! This is the weirdest showcase ever 😂
Lol @ the dance
Whats more fun is watching Drew’s reaction than the guy winning
Perfect reaction! one of my fav winner!
he was break dancing. lol!
Perfect reaction. And Drew's laugh made it even better.
This has got to be one of the best boats I've seen on TPIR. Now, they're only giving away these "party" boats you can hardly drive on a river.
John was stunned
that may be the best celebration dance i've seen yet.
Miss Rich Fields As The Announcer!
Fun fact: He's currently the weather specialist for CBS 10 WTSP in Tampa Bay - St. Petersburgh.
I hope he had 15k in 30 days to pay the taxes and claim his prizes.
He did have a bit of a headache with the taxes. He had to sell some of the items to pay the taxes on others. He definitely kept the car.
Some people have to sell most stuff to pay the taxes, crazy.
Why can’t anyone just forgo the gift and take the cash value after taxes instead??
I'd sell the boat to keep the Corvette, lol.
@@fahdhalim4141 There's no such thing as taking the cash value. It's either pay the taxes and get the prizes or you take nothing.
Thankyou I love this CZcams so much

I think I remember that. The strike was returned to the bag after being drawn? That was Drew era. Maybe was done during Bobs time also.

that corvette won't pull that boat

Everyone go to 15:39 in this video. John's competitor in the show case show down immediately wanted to congratulate him. Excellent sportsmanship.
lol she bid 899 after the guy bid 900
They do that all the time. No wonder they never make it out contestant's row.

Try to give car away more since car so freakin expensive

John is thinking who gives a shit about the showcase just give me the Vette already
John is cute as well
Did the car come with a lifetime supply of Tough Actin Tinactin?

I saw this game show when it came out in 1972.

He could be John Madden's son. Did you think of that?
Touché.
Rich said John Madden, the second, so it could be.

I use to love those old-styled showcases which were made during Bob Barker's era and now those showcases recently became really boring.
Also for each of those 2 Showcases, I would have guessed the following.
1st Showcase: $18,000
2nd Showcase: $35,850
Wine cabinet and sofa set is sooo old and ugly...really!! 😜👎
John won a car 🚗 worth $52,134! And after getting a strike to start off
That clickbait though
Drew carey laugh 😅🤣😂😆
