I didn’t think this storyline outside of the adults’ involvement (Kevin aside) was that good but 2007 itself was definitely a lot better than what the show’s like now. Even this storyline (which wasn’t my favourite but was still decent enough) was.
2006/2007/2009 Denise was in a league of her own. They really should’ve given her more to do between slapping Heather, searching trash bags for food and ‘boiling’ pasta without water (which somehow got awarded a duff-duff) after the Lucas story was tied up. I don’t like the way she plays second fiddle to Kim (who’s actually okay/kind of funny in small doses but really not much more) either.
@@milestaylor-charlemagne6311 ditto. The young woman who plays the new Chelsea is brilliant (and she does look like someone who could actually be Denise’s daughter in real life) but I’m just a lot more used to Tiana Benjamin being Chelsea. The fact that this Chelsea was in the show at a time when the show was a lot more popular (to say the least) and got hotter storylines in general helps. It’s a shame they couldn’t get her back but I still enjoy Zarah Phillips’ presence. Her, Denise and the Slaters/Stacey are part of the only reason why I still watch the current show at the moment. Couldn’t care less about Suki, Vinny (or whatever he is), nutty Stuart or even Kim (she used to be hilarious but now she’s just annoying).
@@Scotti_o7 whatever her surname is. Either way I miss the meatier version of Denise (2006 - 2010) than the original Chelsea. Between Owen and Lucas locking her in the cellar there was hardly a dull moment with her and Parish is such a brilliant actress. But ever since that storyline came to an end and Kim. became more and more prominent (which was fine in the beginning but at this point not so much) Denise became more and more wasted. The stuff with the bins (and that infamous pasta duff-duff) was such an insult to her character and Diane Parish’s wonderful acting skills.
I really like Chelsea no matter what she did, I felt sorry for her here everyone picking on her and judging her, nobody's perfect we all do wrongs and make mistakes in life but we learn from it and realize the effect it has on others around us and our lives and we can better ourselves and change!! And Chelsea is so attractive.🙂
I quite liked her as well but she really did her uncle Patrick dirty in this storyline. Of course her mum would’ve clamped her one. She wouldn’t be a responsible parent at all (let alone a loving mother) if she let Chelsea off the hook entirely.
Patrick was attacked in his shop and Chelsea lied to the police saying Sean was the attacker, as revenge for him breaking her heart. It was later revealed to be some guy that Lucy was dating, who attacked Patrick. But Chelsea and Deano got caught and humiliated and arrested.
Dean kept hold of the CCTV tape and once after Carly had visited Sean in prison it became obvious that that she doubted Sean's innocence as he was becoming hauntingly cocky he grew fed up and all but admitted to attacking Patrick Dean was prepared to anonymously hand in the evidence into the police as he d come to his senses
@@rojaktar3509 Actually it was Carly who handed in the tape after making a copy after the original got destroyed , i know it was wrong what they did but she ratted her own brother and step sister to the police . I always hated how Carly tried to act like she had morals , when she was unhinged herself and both her & chelsea got involved with Sean in the first place .
One thing I love about Denise she takes no shit off anyone
I jumped when Denise shouted. Only ever done that with Phil. I'm on Denise's side. Patrick is like her father.

I agree. I do like Zarah Phillips as an actress, but I miss the original Chelsea.

Denise straight up humiliated her infront of the square, that was horrible of Denise
She deserved it, great parenting 👏🏼
She framed someone for a crime, you idiot! Humiliation is the least she deserved.
No it's called making your kid take responsibility need more Denise's and less molly coddlers who let their kids get away everything
Chelsea is horrible
Denise is out of order humiliating Chelsea like that.
No she wasn't not at all Chelsea needed taking down a peg or 2 she deserved it 100%
No, it's called parenting. When your kid does something awful, you parent them.
No, she is not. Chelsea deserved it!
Carol Stewart Stypulkowski I totally agree with you she needed taking down a peg or two.
NO WAY !
