- Worlds Toughest Footrace?
The legendary Tor des Geants (TOR) is a 200-mile (330km) trail running race in some of the most remote and wild regions of the Italian Alps. The course circumnavigates the Aosta valley and takes in a mind-boggling 90,000+ ft (29,000+ meters) elevation gain with some sections of trail requiring rock scrambling and highly technical descents. Competitors run through day and night deciding when and how long to sleep, with top athletes getting only a few hours over the course of 3-4 days of racing.
In this video we follow one of world’s top Ultra trail athletes, Wong Ho Chung (a two-time top 10 finisher of the UTMB World Championships), compete amongst the best elite ultra-distance mountain athletes from around the world.
Go Pro film-runner, Ryan S. Blair, ran 80km of the course to capture rare and remote footage, while spectacular drone footage was filmed by Asia’s leading videographer, Robin Lee.

Thanks so much for everyones positive comments. Besides Chungs inspiring performance, we wanted to show how you need a whole team to be competitive and how everyone works together for a race this long. We got so lucky the weather first 2 glorious sunny days --this year started in rain and snow!

UTMB is like Kindergarten, that's some qualification....
yea what makes it especially hard is not only twice as long as UTMB but 50% more steep/elevation gain in each km run--so tough!🤣🤣

That's not the toughest, the toughest is Slovenian trans-alp trail. 600km and 40km of elevation. We have Slovenian record holders Men - 7d 8h, Women - 11d 23h

wow sounds amazing and hard ! -thats the beautiful Julien Alps right? Swiss Peaks had a 660km this year (last week) and TOR a 450 at altitude in snow --OMG when will the distances stop growing
