It’s unreleased vocals from the King Of Pop. Michael recorded about 50,000 - 100,000 songs and only a handful of songs from the vault have been released by labels and lots of the songs that were in the vault were leaked, mostly demos. Sony Music signed a deal with MJ’s estate for $250 million to own all of his music and all of the unreleased material. Sony planned on releasing more than 8 posthumous albums with unreleased music by Michael. The first one that came out called Michael had mixed reviews because of the sound of his voice. People thought that it wasn’t Michael Jackson singing on most of the songs, but it was. Instead of scrapping the album, they released the album that contained songs that were finished and some songs that were far from finished. He wasn’t there to record the final product. So they put his vocals into a software called Melodyne and tried to fix the key in his voice. That’s why they sounded weird. Then in 2014, they released the album Xscape with 8 new tracks and that was way better!! The songs were all finished and polished by some new music production from Dr. Freeze and Timbaland.

Listen, I like the song but as someone who knows what Michael's voice sounds like, much like any of his fans do, that didn't sound like him it sounded heavily autotuned. If that's the case then they should've just kept his vocals as they were because this doesn't sound right

PLUS, you have to think, it sounds like MJ in the 80s, which is when his songs were created from natural instruments. So they had to find a way to get rid of the instruments in the background of the vocal stem

Y’all, it’s really Michael and no it’s not auto tuned. The song the vocals are from is an unreleased song demo by Michael and Paul Anka, the reason the vocals sound off is because they are processed from a low quality demo and maybe even filtered to remove a piano, seeing how that’s how most Anka and MJ demos were done (this is it demo, Love never felt so good demo)
Blop yh sounds like they had to DIY the vocals simce they probably don't have rights to use the original acapella or even the stems are not recorded anymore.
The michael jackson sampling is something special whoever did this knows music and knows music so well they have revived a sound you will only recall if you really really love music

Just to clarify it all, the vocals from Michael are TOTALLY new and unreleased. The vocals are apparently from the Invincible Era. But lemme tell ya something. I have heard almost all the unreleased songs that would have gone into the Invincible album such as "Fall Again", "Beautiful Girl" , "Seeing Voices" and more. This wasn't released ANYWHERE before. I'm a DIEHARD Michael fan, and based on all the sources that I keep up with, I would have known of the vocals of this song.
And to those who are questioning whether or not this is Michael, it IS him. Anyone who has listened to at least a few of his songs knows that the way he says "me" here is VERY real.
Drake really had some guts to get this sample from Michael's estate.

From what i found in the internet this sample is from Michael and Paul Ankas collaboration album in 1983 (wasnt releaset) and now Paul collaborated with drake and is even in the credits to this album for helping him get this sample of Mike's voice

The “Don’t matter to me” MJ acapella was probably old in audio version, when doing production of the song it sounds distorted, therefore they need to put some work into it so it matches the high quality version of the song. and MJ vocals sound a lil weird its because they probably had some kind of drums or other instrument in the background of the original so the had to filter them out by using EQ's,GAtes etc. to cover up background noise
