Segway is actually the largest shareholders of sur ron. But sur ron is what made these bikes popular. Especially the sur ron X. Now segway wants some action and pretty much copied the same thing and put segway on it. So its "segway version". All about money. And yes I ride a sur ron X lol.

@@AuRowe I think Zero is 2 classes up, this is an all electric mountain bike at 1/3~1/4 the price of a Specialized Levo for instance. It's less versatile for sure since it can't be pedalled, but I dig the idea all the same. I'd buy the bigger one rebadged as Segway or the original Sur Ron, and 2 spare batteries how ever I could get it here in South Africa. I'd buy an ES4 if I could come up with a valid excuse, I just don't need one, sure want one tho. But this... me likey too much
Herb out west this one is just as fast, better milage, better build, better battery changeability, and better suspension... it’s better than sur ron x bro lol, after like 25-30 miles the sur ron is dead, this bike has 75 mile capacity, obviously that’s on low power mode but I’m confident you can still do 50+ Miles on battery in 1 go

Everything the Sur-Ron does this does it extremely better, milage, top speed, suspension, etc etc the X260 claims to go 75 miles per battery charge(street legal mode) and it says the top speed is 46.6 MPH and you can swap the battery easily... going by that you can take it off street legal mode or whatever, and go 30+ MPH average and still get a solid 60 miles on 1 battery... have another battery in your backpack and you can travel 100 miles easily... this bike is going to outshine dirt bikes lol. But obviously dirt bikes you can go 90MPH tops compared to barely 50 MPH but dirt bikes cannot go past a range of 80 miles tops.... also this bike will come in handy during the apocalypse/SHTF moments

I'll take a Sur- Ron over the Onyx anyday. The Sur-Ron is manufacted better, has a more powerful Mid-Drive Motor, it's waterproof, it's more upgradeable and easier to upgrade has more available parts and it's cheaper... Don't get me wrong the Onyx is a great bike too I've had my eye on both bikes before they were even made. If Onyx came down on price I might consider buying it over the Sur-Ron. But as of rn I'd get the Sur-Ron over the Onyx.

Before backing this on Indiegogo have a look in the comment section of Segways' last Indiegogo campaign for the "Ninebot Max" it got more than 10.000 negative comments from backers. Be warned.
mjp0815 what were the complaints? The ninebot max seems super reliable and many of the rental companies seem to be using them. They’re pretty slow but seem to be quality
I was one of them, 90% of the crowd had never crowd funded and were treating it like they bought the product. And I was not stoked about segways delays without good reason, I will agree they were not very professional, but I got my product quickly after batch one shipped (in socal) and put 1k miles on it before selling for what I bought it for. Segway is quality in every regard except customer service. That being said, I would steer clear of crowd funding for this unless you got 4 g’s laying around and are certain this will deliver (I am 99% sure it will, this is a new market, e dirt bikes, asking for this kinda product)
I don't have any beef with Segway branding this ebike as "Segway"; however, if their advertising material spins this as being their innovation, with them being the ones who sunk R&D into this product, then that is a total B.S. and a disgrace to Segway... if I were an investor, I'd be outraged with what they are claiming. This is how their Indiegogo funding is being spun. Their timeline has "Prototyping" and "Testing Prototype". Also, in their mission statement they claim, "Celebrating our brand mission of Innovation and Design, we aim to continually break our boundaries in product creations. With expertise in technology innovation and industrial design, the Powersports line may just be that dream come true." This bike has already been available in the market and pioneered by another company! All they are doing is pre-funding their order on this site and taking the credit. We see you Segway, and I'm personally disgusted with your business practice!

Segway buying and rebranding bikes will boost Sur Ron's revenues and maybe enable either more R&D or cheaper production

@@bumpisms Sur-ron is available here with tapered headset bearings & advanced sine wave speed controller, 17" supermoto wheels & tires; also there have often been optional forks available. As an owner, my sur-ron is equipped with an average number of upgrades.
Pete fpv top speed is 46.6 MPH so you can probably go 50-54 MPH at the fastest, and it has range of 75 miles on 1 battery, it’s worth it tbh, can carry another battery in a backpack... easily can do 100MPH with it... very silent... obviously in drag race it cannot beat any gas dirt bike but in terms of efficiency, being relatively silent.... and agility... the X260 is gonna be the best bike to get, and if you implement solar charging panels... you got a near infinite transportation :)

It’s China made. Look up Luna cycle on CZcams. The have problem with battery (which cost $1000 each battery). They have problem with the manufacture from China of getting part to repair/replace defective parts:it so bad of getting parts ,they have to pull parts from new bike to replace/repair the bike they’ve sold that is still under warranty. I don’t have info on the exact CZcams video but it’s a long video.it’s Surron bike that they just replaces it with Segway . Get it if it has 5 years warranty or just get Zero FX/FXS-all electric ,road legal and can go on the freeway,made in USA.
