Any form of physical violence especially against the helpless is abuse! There is no line that "needs to be crossed" for beatings to "become abusive". It's all abuse. I'm very disappointed with this horrible messaging. India is a very abusive county in general and violence in the home is very normalized but people continuing to do so is the reason why domestic violence is taken so causally. As a victim of this brutality myself I find this mentality disgusting.

Ishaan's father was no doubt a toxic and insensitive person who could not understand his son's problem but one thing about the film I could not understand that why the teachers of Ishaan's school or the boarding school were not helpful could not understand him as teachers are taught child psychology to understand kids and kids disability.
By the way you should include Sanam Teri Kasam at first place in which heroine's father was so toxic as he wanted his elder daughter to marry at any how even to a stranger only he is highly qualified and disowns his daughter without even understanding the situation and decleares his daughter dead.
Ishq film ki sabse badi problem yeh bhi thi that the fathers stoop so low for their ego that they even get the poor girl raped. You missed that.

I was exactly thinking that... I have done my bachelors in elementary education.... And we were taught about this....all teachers get to know about child psychology.
But even if someone didn't noticed that he was going through some issues, I still don't get how some adults can be so cruel towards child. They are so innocent, they depend on adults around them..... Its really heart breaking, pathetic, horrible to see when children get abused. I loose my mind when it happens.

The teachers were ignorant like most people. They were told that this was kid who was lazy and dumb, who didn't put in the work so they all simple assumed that he was misbehaving. The problem lies in the fact that even believing all that they should have tried a different approach than fear. But i also understand the fact that for a teacher to give personal attention to 1 children from a class of 30 is not possible. This is the problem with our whole education system where kids who don't understand things the first time around gets left behind. Tuition's were supposed to be the answers for this problem but they end up doing the same now.

I have very good and intoxic parents and they love me very much! But my mom has a very very very toxic dad. He never cared if his child is a boy and girl, he won't give freedom to anyone. My mother lived under his toxicity for almost 25 years until she married my dad. To her dismay, her in laws (my parernal family) are also very toxic. My mother always cry because of what her in laws do to her. They never touched her, just mental torture. Coming back to her dad, my mother and aunt (my mom's sister) married but my uncle (mom's brother) lives with him. My uncle's life is a perfect example of a ruined life. He does not have a good father, a good wife and not even a good child. His dad tortures him so much, even more than Ishaan's dad. His wife and he were separated for almost 8 yrs. His son hates him. His life gave me a lesson: It is very important to have good parents, good partner and good children. Because your whole life is around them. 😥

Actually they are toxic because they think if they are being strict they can mould us into something great... these ppl I feel need treatment ...they are self obsessed whose only motto is to do whatever they feel is right... others feeling are just a waste...I have seen many toxic ppl in my life...many..so don't get depressed bcoz of them..rise up ...get the dirt off ur back and move on...life without toxic ppl is a heaven

My parents are on another level yes they give me whatever I want but no that concert tickets or something that is out of their ranges like they try to make us happy. I am 16 y/o and I have my personal mobile they gave it to me because of online classes but my mom literally sometimes takes my phone from me and check it I don't have any boyfriends neither I have too many male friends still she don't want me to lock my phone she said not to be in any friends group I mean why? I am 16 already i need some privacy why tf I can't have that when my friends are having it. Just a min ago incident I was having my online class so my sir asked me something I unmuted my mic to answer then my mother came and start talking like to do this work and that work I just muted my mic cause it's so embarassing then again she stopped i unmuted again she started so I muted my mic again and I just scream over her because it's really frustrating my sir was continuously insulting me cause he thought I couldn't give answer and then my father came and hit on my head my headphone fell on the ground and he was shouting over me using bad language and I just explain him why I was shouting my mother also convinced him still he wasn't listening busy in saying rubbish then I said "baba why you always act like you are illiterate?" And then he stopped. I fucking hate my dad and my mom also some reason Ik every parents have a good and bad sides but my parents' bad sides aren't tolerable.

It's same as mine. But I don't have mother. Have one but not mine. Father is too toxic for me. I really hate it when somebody interfere in my thing specially phone checking. Like he is expecting me have a lover. Seriously what I saw while growing up people around me, relationship never gonna workout for me. I saw most of the relationship around me and I know is toxic. I really don't believe in love and all that anymore.
And I think until we stand our own, our life going to be this. Even we want to change, it's impossible to change their mindset.
