Great info here I’m thinking of doing the same! I was breaking cables plowing also I went with something I saw online a boat winch strap! Works great never broken that!
I have a pulley adaptor on the winch and haven't had an issue breaking the winch cable. I don't plow a ton of snow with this because I have a truck that does the bulk of plowing.
I really enjoy the 6x6 snow plow videos. I just got in the house from plowing with my 2021 Ranger 1000. One of the best options I went for was the gear shift plow controller, very handy. I currently have manual angle, but it's not a big deal with the Polaris plow....the release handle is convenient
I have a handheld control for the winch for up and down which is really nice. It's just like my big plow. I suppose I could try the buttons on the shifter for angle.
Make your own control use a momentary switch from hardware. Nice job on your plow set up

Bro put a 2 inch roller pulley attach it to where your hook is know with the plow,get a winch strap on your bumper,run the cable through the Snatch block and attach the hook to your bumper strap. You get twice the lifting power,did it on my 52 inch plow blade,go on you tube ( atv winch pulley) works like a charm

I just got a 03 ranger how can I update the dashboard like with a little screen?
I replaced the dash and hood with a 2008. Check out the playlist on this Ranger and you will see everything.
I am currently trying to figure out how to get the speedo from a newer Ranger to work with my older Ranger. I have some of it figured out but need parts and the speedos are not cheap. Even used ones.
How long is the throw on the actuator?
Off hand I am not sure.
