Yes, some acids do have chlorine in them. Most notably hydrochloric acid. Which is also known as muriatic acid. Which can be stored in a plastic container.

Acids don't actually behave like they do on TV. But yes, the container you use does depend on the type of acid and the concentration as well. For example, a lot of sodas have phosphoric acid in them and they're stored in certain types of plastic bottles.

I've only been injured once from an amusement park ride. There was a big drop in a cart and at the bottom was water to slow it down. The problem was that the water slowed it down very abruptly and I ran my chest into the "safety" bar. It was like going 60 (guessing) mph down to 10 in a second or 2 so you got thrown forward pretty hard. Obviously I didn't tell my parents about it because I didn't want them to cut the day short. I was a young lad.
Blue streak, gemini, corkscrew, all still there. Took my autistic kiddo there a few months ago and she survived everything no hands!! 🤔🤪🤗🤣

For Derrick and Dave at cedar point the blue streak, gemini, cork screw and top fuel dragster is still there (although that was last summer and they were still working on it because yes it had ended someone) but one of my favorite used to be the mean streak but they did a huge overhaul on it and it's now a hybrid steel-wood coaster one of the fastest and biggest most insanely fun wooden roller-coaster out there!
So Dave went to Travers City for the Cherry festival 😂

The whole acid in a baloon thing is very much a potential issue, there's different kinds of caustic chemicals... like they used Lye as an example in the show, but it's a base. Bases are often worse than acids. The idea of throwing acid isn't about the acid, but its concealing some harmful thing in a mundane package/setting because this is far more likeky to succeed, and less likeky to get charged as severely as a gun crime.
Remember the concrete milkshakes thing? It became popular at "protests".

Thinking of the Mean Streak, not the Blue Streak at Cedar Point. It and the Gemini are both gone now. Mean Streak had some fun spots but if you were too tall, you couldn't put your arms up, they'd hit a support stanchion and they'd break. Depending on the acid, it does not eat through plastic, but there are some plastics that are created for acids. Your car battery is plastic and if they are wet cell, they are filled with sulfuric acid and lead cells.

The racetrack in rapid valley South Dakota did fireworks every year when I was a kid. Untill the year I was in like 7th grade a firework didn’t explode in the air and the shell came down and hit a little girl and killed her. Racetrack was closed form many years after that and idk if they ever did fireworks after they re opened.
Danny Trejo had just lost his dog that day. He refuses to portray a bad guy unless he is killed or goes to jail. He volunteered to ride in the parade and donates all the money from his Taco restaurant to the boys and girls club... and the young punks disrespected him.
