- This is footage of a workout in Westside from Video power magazine. This was when Westside was at demorest. You will se Kenny Patterson, George Halbert and Chuck Vogelpohl in a bench press workout. And obviously Louie simmons to explain it all.
This having only 30k views shows that CZcams really doesn't favor quality and education over flashiness and big lifts. 12 minutes of gold here. Louie is going to be the Aristotle of weightlifting. People are going to be studying him for centuries.
The camera man just finished videoing a skateboarding vid
its amazing how Louie remembers all their totals
"The lift that is your hardest is the one that will make you a champion." Great mind set
That man's brain ran like a computer. Simply knowing everyone's totals and progress off the top of his head is impressive. He's like one of those savants that can tell you what the temperature was on June 30th 1977
it’s funny to see louie when he isn’t used to talking in a camera yet.
I love how he went from this "hi.. I'm louie simmons" to now "LOUIE SIMMONS WITH WESTSIDE BARBELL HERE"
Love how when Louie talks about what they do, he always has to mention that Chuck does it slightly different. Can't imagine what a beast Chuck Vogelpohl was back then and probably still is
Rest in Peace Louie! Legendary
I need louie in my life. People hardly train this hard anymore.
I want to learn more about muscle hyperputhy.
I didn't take this guy seriously in the beginning but have started watching more of his videos and listening to his advice I have to puy my hands up he's a guro I've made some big gains at 52 in growing now in a way I never thought my body would take my hat off to you great information
Masters of Reality. Love that album.

So many nuggets of gold in this video. Thank you.
It's very interesting to me that they had a camber safety squat bar back then. I didn't know they existed in 1995, but there it is. Excellent.
This has so much information! thank you for this!
Damn it. I was doing way too much pec deck in '96.
This is when I graduated high school. I wish I had started lifting then instead of waiting until now.
The record playing is "We Sold Our Soul For Rock n Roll" by Black Sabbath. Excellent best of record.
