The Galapagos Islands have been a dream destination for me ever since I first heard about them as a kid. The thought of swimming amongst sea lions and hammerhead sharks in one of the richest marine ecosystems on the planet put this destination right at the top of my bucket list.
Due to how remote and hard to access these islands are I always assumed that it would be a trip for when I was 'older'... however, after hearing that Contiki offered trips to The Galapagos I jumped on the opportunity right away and made this dream a reality.

After hearing some negative stories,the Galapagos is back on my bucket list along with Patagonia and Antarctica (sometime soon) and swimming with the Minke Whales near Lizard Island (this September).

GOING IN 2022 OR 2023....What is the one piece of advice you can give that you feel is paramount to traveling to the galapagos?
Make sure you leave time to go and do some exploring by yourself. It is surprisingly free for you to travel and explore the islands by yourself.
