    You are wrong, the 1919 Halica propeller car is not a "rear wheel drive" car as you stated since the propeller in front provides the forward thrust. You probably mean to say "rear wheel steering" as the front wheels remain stationary while the rear wheels do the turning.

    • @juliansmith4295
      @juliansmith4295 Před 2 lety +4

      Nor was the propeller "attached to the rear." The people at this channel don't seem to know front from back. Also, they talk about it borrowing from aeronautical design, rather than "traditional car design." Implying that there was a tradition of car design in 1919 is pushing it a bit.

      @@williamfrazier3310 that probably is what he meant but what was said and what we're meant are two totally different things. People are in such a hurry nowadays to get they're videos thrown up for attention and money that they don't even bother with their own quality control

      Yeh. Or, when I'm SO STRESSED OUT that I'm having Panic Attacks on top of Panic Attacks, and, worry that my BP is so HIGH that I could have a STROKE...like now !!

    • @patriciajackson6711
      @patriciajackson6711 Před 2 lety

      THIS one was the ticket to lower my BP in RECORD TIME !!
      I LOVE FASTER CARS; ALWAYS HAVE been attracted to the "High end" and/or "American Muscle" cars (...and, the NHRA-Style style of Racing) I used to have a bumper sticker on my Dodge 318 that said, "Some racers drive around in circles looking for the Finish Line. Other racers just drive Straight to it !"
      I also had 1 one a window that said, "Get in, sit down, shut up, and, Hold On !!"
      Had a friend once ask me, "PJ, don't you believe in driving with all 4 wheels on the ground ??", to which I replied, "What are you talking about ?? My wheels haven't left the ground.....yet !!"
      I remember being 8yrs old, sitting behind my Daddy, on the Expressway, and, seeing various vehicles going the opposite direction, and, me, practically breaking my neck to look at "High End", and, "American Muscle" vehicles for as long as possible, and, when I turned back around to face the front, my eyes always caught my Daddy looking at me in the Rearview mirror, having seen whatever vehicle coming down the road that he KNEW was going to make me respond the way I always did !!
      When I was in the US Army, I told my Daddy that the next time I came home, I wanted a car ( I didn't TELL him that it was because I had been raped).
      Next 4-day Pass, I came home, and, the 1st thing we did was for him to take me to a Dealership of used vehicles, to Test Drive a car that he had put a Hold on.
      We got to the Dealership to find the 1974 Plymouth Duster, and, I got my Test drive.
      I KNOW what you're thinking; THAT'S not really a "American Muscle vehicle", but, I beg to differ; the DRIVER makes it a Muscle car.
      My Duster had a Slant6 and, a " THREE ON THE TREE". I'm a country girl. I learned how to drive in my Daddy's old '63 Ford Falcon Stationwagon with a 3 on the tree.
      The Duster had NO Power Brakes , and, NO Power Steering, but, my Daddy was laughing his ass off hollering, "WHIP THAT STEERING WHEEL, BABY GIRL !! Whip it !! I was 20yo.
      After the Test Drive, he asked me if I wanted it; of course, I said YES, then he said, "They also had a 340, but I KNEW that you would STAY IN TROUBLE with THAT one."
      Boy, was I ever DISAPPOINTED, but Daddy was right !! I definitely WOULD HAVE stayed in trouble with any more Power (MOPAR !!!)
      I drove that car hard, and, put her away wet in the years I had her !! I LOVED HER, and, was very upset to find out that my mother had sold her off in my absence while I was "playing" Army in California (she had forbidden me to drive my own car to CA. she was very abusive, and, had long-since beaten me into submission when she raised me)
      I even ran off from a 1970 Stingray and left him behind in my dust; it took him forever to catch up to me with his 350hp.
      It was the fact that I knew that we were coming up on the "alternating passing lane" of the WAY BACK country Georgia back roads. I knew the road like the back of my hand.
      I was leading him to I-10, which I was familiar with, and, he wasn't.
      It was the element of surprise, really.
      We got stuck behind 3 old, "Grandma Drivers", and, when that 1st passing lane came up, I was gone !!!
      In our discussion, B4 we got on the road, he had asked, "Is there a Truck Stop at I-10".
      We agreed to have lunch there B4 he headed to Texas, 2° the US Army's having broken their end of the written Contract, as "Breech of Contract", and, he demanded to be released from the Army. I was headed further south, deeper into Florida.
      He asked me when we got to the Truck Stop, "What kind of engine have you got in there ??"
      I told him. He said, "WOW, I didn't know those things had so much POWER !!"
      I just smiled a little bit, because I KNEW that, if he had known the road AND my intention, there's no way I would have run off and left him so far behind. He couldn't pass until 2-3 Passing lane later !!
      Here's what I would do whenever I planned to blow anybody off the road; 1) back off from the car in front, then, 2) Slap it down into 2nd gear, and, FLOORBOARD it !! And, keep it floorboarded !!!
      And, believe it, or not, I've only ever gotten 1 speeding ticket in my life...
      And, it was in THAT car !! Since then, I always seemed to SENSE that there were cops up ahead, and, would slow down, like a good little girl, and, right after getting that feeling and, slowing down to the speed limit, and, viola', there they were. I'm 65, and, EVERYBODY who has ever known me, KNOWS that I'm an "drag racing wannabe" !!! LOL !!!
      ☺😄😃😅😂🤣🤣😂😅😃😄☺

The chassis was based on a Lola MK. 6, but the body was built to Shelby's design's. A trivia question for you. What does the 40 in GT 40 stand for?

    Wow, what a great rundown of unique cars. That last 1963 Ferrari being called the most beautiful car - I just don’t get it. Did anybody look at the rear end of the car? Pardon me but it looks like bad ideas of 1960s Opal Cadets, not a $70 million car. The other cars were fun to look at but few really had an interior I’d call comfy. These super cards just don’t look they’re made for real people. I’ve always personally pick cars for reliability and then how the interior feels and works. I don’t look at the outside of a car all day long, But the interior is where we spend our long commutes.

    • @biggman100
      @biggman100 Před 3 lety

      Race cars arent designed to be comfy, and that is what almost every car in this group is, is a barely street legal race car. Most were raced at places like Le Mans in the 24 hour race, as well as several other famous tracks in the 1950's, 1960's, and 1970's. The 1963 Ferrari is widely regarded by car enthusiast's, car magazines, and automotive journalists as one of, if not the most beautiful car ever produced. Super cars aren't built for regular everyday people. They are built so that the manufacturer can showcase and display the best, as in fastest, most powerful, and most durable performance vehicle they can, in their ability, build. They arent produced for regular people to drive to work, or the grocery store. Most have 2 seats, and about enough luggage space for maybe one small suitcase. Even the cars in this list that arent race cars are very limited production vehicles, made for a very limited group of people.

    Why make videos with bs-narration, incorrect information and footage unrelated to the topic? Just greedy and too cynical and lazy to do it properly?

      You are right on. I was offended right off the bat when hey showed a rear view of a 1964 Corvette and said it was a Ford concept car. And then the Hellica, said the propeller was at the rear when clearly it is on the front, also not rear wheel drive. If that much is wrong 1minute and 30 seconds into the video, what more did they get wrong? I quite watching at that point and will make sure to not watch any videos this channel makes.
