  • Steve Sauder is at the controls of his Case IH 8120 combine while harvesting a 100 acre soybean field near Wenona, Illinois. The combine is equipped with a Case header.
My thanks to Steve Sauder for his cooperation. And to Birkey's Farm Store, a Case IH farm equipment dealer, www.birkeys.com for their assistance in the video production.

Combines are getting faster and faster these days, the way they plough through the crops quick as lightning its unbelievable!

Looks like there's a stuck potentiometer on one side. That's typically why one side was lifting up first on the end of the field. Check voltage diagnostics and let the grain cart guy play with the nuts on the potentiometer to find the correct running range and it should clear that up. Great video

No potentiometers on a MacDon head, only springs. Tilting faceplate of the combine feederhouse is shut off. Everything is springs, and if they aren't perfect, this is what they do when you lift them off the ground.
