Peter tosh..
Not was, is, his still alive in his music ❤
Peter Tosh is the most overlooked singer in reggae music.
Bunny is killing those harmonies too
Bunny is
Not too much...
In italy is famous (among "musical" people).
His voice goes so low, and so high.
Peter was a true force of nature, definetly one of a kind. May he RIP
2024 in tears listening to this and War..RIP Peter Tosh and Bob Marley
We are in terrible uncertain times my brother
Praying for peace and blessings 🙏
The old must crumble and fall in order for the New Earth to come. Challenging times, indeed, for many people but if you can grow most of your own food and have a skill to barter and trade, and live in a small community, you will thrive.
This song is the story of my youth. I'm now a Christian, but I can always relate to this song.
Toujours dans ma playlist mon frère
Men die but their deeds live forever in the memories of the loved ones... Bob Marley never died for his message is still relevant (2024 & beyond)
💚💛❤️🖤
This brings tears to my eyes just watching Bob sing with all his heart and amazing harmonies. This is the first thing I want to wake up to when I die. Pure heart and soul.

Imagine his perspective.....coming from the streets of Trench town....he thought he was going somewhere special on his way to London.....he saw Brixton, black community, and it blew his mind. And he wrote this beautiful song about his experience. True words sung from the soul ❤️🙏🏾
Crazy. A dream sold to the windrush generation to be met with brutality and racism!
Me as a child of Irish immigrants who arrived at the same time as a lot of Caribbean people can relate! Remember the signs.. No blacks no dogs no Irish. 🇮🇪 🇯🇲

The definition of an artist . He's singing out of his heart

Growing up in Trench Town I thought this song was solely related to the section we called 'Concrete Jungle' but now I know it relates to everywhere where hardship , poverty, perseverance and determination and eventually success prevails as many of us from Trench Town.
May Family Man, Peter, Bunny, Carlton and Bob be united.
And Earl "Wire" Lindo. Just occurred to me that everyone on this stage is no longer with us.
They are
And chris blackwell can do nutten about it

I would give an arm and leg just to be able to sing and play like these legends. They were magic together!
Long Live The Wailers!

This song builds as I stare from my window in my hometown of port Glasgow which is in the middle of a crack epidemic, bob is my therapist.
Love to you Harry our brother ❤️💚🖤💪🏿
Crack? That reminds me of the 80s early 90s. Now it’s meth and fentanyl. Fentanyl is coming to Europe big time. Going to suck. Afghanistan just culled 80s of the poppies
When I first saw this back in the 80’s my jaw dropped. I was a teenager just getting into Marley when he passed. I tried my hardest to collect every piece of docu album tape and concert memorabilia. I still have a ticket stub from his concert in LA.
At the burbank amphitheater???
Living in England I was a first generation immigrant, from the windrush Generation. This was on the BBC old grey well meband my brother's were spellbound. My dad came in and saw that and went ballistic cause how could Jamaica send such a rag taggle band of Musicians to the BBC. Bless him he wasn't to know. What was hidden from the wise and prudent will be revealed to babe and suckling.
It's an angelic choir singing background vocals. Ever since the album release the harmonizing of this song never ceases to amaze me.

I love the Peter Tosh era of the wailers ❤. He was a driving force for the band.
And Bunny
No wonder the "Tosh era" is called just "The Wailers" because it includes Bunny too... unfortunately, this channel can't be bothered to change that.
Every era is magical, Junior Marvin era was also brilliant with smashing hits like Babylon system
One of the best recorded songs ever and yes ever!
It so precisely portrays the human condition
no matter how many years had passed, not only the music and song but the Bob prediction about future...
I'd have ta agree 👍💯
Yes indeed❤💚💛
Its been my phone alarm sound for years, in my opinion the Wailers best production, Bunnys moves are seriously dread
This is such a beautifully crafted song, the opening 30 seconds just seem to emerge out of nowhere, gradually forming into shape and then those delicate, haunting vocals which quickly take on genuine anguish yet with an underlying message that there must be something better than this. Extraordinarily well performed live, it's heartfelt and a masterpiece.
RIP Aston 'Family Man' Barrett
His death brought me straight here.
RIP Legend. ❤️🎶
Wow! RIP KING OF BASS
I like the groove of this song.
“Never known what happiness is, never know what sweet grace is”…if you ever lived in a big city living in poverty, that lyric just hits so good describing that life.
This is THE version I go to. Best one by far
I could give infinite likes to this song. Amazing!
I loved Bob, Peter & Bunny. Concrete Jungle gr8 beat and song.
The most powerful rastaman that as ever walked this earth.love yuh Bob always.
The characteristics of the 3 men: Bob, Bunny, and Peter;

This song instantly feeds your soul .
No sun will shine in my day today
(No sun will shine)
The high yellow moon won't come out to play
(Won't come out to play)
Darkness has covered my light
(And the stage) and the stage my day into night
Now, where is this love to be found?
Won't someone tell me 'cause life (sweet life)
Must be somewhere (sweet life) to be found (somewhere, somewhere for me)
Instead of a concrete jungle
Where the living is harder (in a concrete)
Concrete jungle (jungle)
Oh man, you've got to do your best, yeah
No chains around my feet but I'm not free
I know I am bound here in captivity
And I've never known happiness
And I've never known sweet caresses
Still, I be always laughing like a clown
Won't someone help me 'cause I (sweet life)
I've got to pick myself (sweet life) from off the ground, yeah (somewhere, somewhere for me)
In this here concrete jungle (la la-la)
I say, what do you got for me, now?
Concrete jungle (la la-la)
Oh, why won't you let me be, now? (concrete jungle)
I said that life (sweet life)
Must be somewhere (sweet life) to be found, yeah, yeah (somewhere, somewhere for me)
Instead of a concrete jungle (jungle)
Where the living is hardest (concrete jungle)
Concrete jungle (jungle)
Oh man, you've got to do your best, yeah (concrete jungle)
Concrete jungle (jungle)
You name it
In this concrete jungle
(Jungle, jungle)
Concrete jungle, you name it, we got it
Concrete jungle, now
(Jungle, jungle, now)
Bob, Peter, Bunny, Brother Carly and Wyah are performing in heavens now, while still empowering hearts and souls on Earth
My favourite track by Bob, plus first live performance in UK.
Just feel love when I listen
The three Wailers at there harmonizing best. Classic piece.
this will always be the best music 🇯🇲
Great Men-Great song and it never gets old 🌴
This old grey whistle concert pliz post the whole show,
True legend never forgotten R I P BOB ❤
I have always loved this recording, incredibly talented guys, one of Bob Marley,s finest moments.
I think I read in the songs performed on The Old Grey Whistle Test they sang live over recorded instrument tracks, which I think is a shame... but that was TV back then. But as far as the singing goes, they sounded SO GOOD!!!
Love the background vocals the way they harmonized this song is beautiful, it put you in a celestial vibe❤
Classic, timeless and superimposed with beauty and harmony.
What a band. Amazing.
This song really grew on me, listen to it so much now so good.
it Hurts but he Talking Bout how we Got to America And The Carrbean
The pained expression on Bob's face says it all. Awesome performance; this is the way this track is meant to be listened to. Everyone who loves Catch a Fire should check out the original Jamaican recording without the overdubs; way more urgent. Crucial.
Une acoustique incroyable, un poète diplomatique et ses wailer, une des plus belles de ses œuvres🤩 😇🌠
Excellent music never grows old. It's is a good to listen to then as it is today
All i can say about the legend is that all his songs are strong message, and most of the coming to fulfillment after his death RIP BOB
A song straight from the soul.
Super Group- Bob Marley on another level.

I’m a huge fan of Bob Marley, but there’s something truest incredible about this song. Ever since I discovered it after looking outside of the ‘best of’ hits Bob Marley and the Wailers had, this song has played in my head every day. It’s infectious and brilliant

It's rare to see a whole band so deep in the groove, not going crazy like a funk band but riding the soul 😎
As great as the later stuff was, I'm not sure they ever did better than this album. Peter the man Tosh, my Dad's favorite! ⚽
É por isso que ele é o melhor de todos ! Pois sua voz concegue atravessar a barreira de nossas emoções mais profundas ! 🤔👏👏
Peter Tosh with his West Ham tracky top and exquisite voice. Saw this on the OGWT - a 7 yr old London kid allowed to stay up by our babysitter - never forgot it.
