If the director's cut had been theatrical cut we would natural caught we would have gotten a sequel and then if it and then if there's been a sequel you would not be so it's been so irritable by this movie.

Bullseye was hands down the standout character out of the entire Daredevil movie. He may be cartoonishly insane, but he's enjoying it so much that it's hard to not to love him.

I'm gonna be honest, I had never seen this one before cause I always heard people say it wasn't good, but after randomly seeing a clip of Elektra with evanescence blasting.......that pretty much was enough for me to give it a try.

The Daredevil and Electra films were such a fever dream to me. At least they did give us a pretty good Kingpin.

My head canon is assumes Daredevil took over as the protector of New York in the MTV spiderman cartoon after Peter threw away his suit and quit being spiderman.

I'd go further. To me, Tobey Spidey is in the same universe as Affleck DaredeviI, Garner Elektra, Jane Punisher, Snipes Blade, Bana Hulk, Evans Torch, Cage Ghost Rider and Jackman Wolverine.
Technically, the first Marvel "cinematic" universe was the Lou Ferrigno/Bill Bixby films where the Hulk met a version of Thor and Daredevil, and was planning to crossover with the Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man at one point.... But then again, Thor nor Daredevil got their backdoor TV shows off the ground, Electra got her spin-off film, so, you got me there! X3
He met a version of Black Widow too. In the final (I think) Bixby/Ferrigno TV movie, that Russian spy character couldn't possibly have been inspired by anyone else. Ahhhh, good times :)

Micheal Clarke Duncans Kingpin appearing in the MTV Spider-Man TV show (Which was meant to be a sequel to the Maguire film) supports my headcanon that all the Pre MCU Marvel films are set in the same universe
To be fair, that "C-Train" line dd hit was kinda cool.....At least when I first heard it.....A long time ago.
Kamen Rider Kuuga is pretty much what the Daredevil movie should've been. A cop/law drama show with villains that actually wear suits while also having street punk aesthetics in human disguise. A protag that wants to do good in a world with a ton of scum, gradually getting more powerful and having some angry moments. But "for kids"

You gotta admit that the Affleck "Daredevil" was way more realistic, though. I mean, when I first met my wife, we also got into a fight at a playground where the kids gathered 'round and cheered up a storm!

I love watching the older spider-man, x-men, fantastic four, batman and blade movies because it's fascinating to see how superheroes used to be in movies compared to what they are now with stuff like morbius, black adam, shazam 2, wonder woman 2, thor 4, ant man 3 being so mixed for me I appreciate the older movies more like I now love ang lee's hulk movie

@@erikbihari3625 she's the comedy relief sidekick and the every person to ask all the plot questions so we as the audience know why things are happening. Otherwise that movie would be very self-serious in a bad way and missing a lot of exposition that would either have to be front loaded meaning it would take a lot longer to get to the fun parts or asked by people who should already know the answer.
This Daredevil movie had a great use of Michael Clark Duncan as Kingpin. Kinda sad we didn't get an aside about Trial of the Incredible Hulk as the other weird daredevil movie.
The Bullseye frame at 6:05 is so funny I had to stop the video because I was laughing too much. I've seen this movie more than once and I don't know how I missed something so amazing.
I don’t know other people’s opinions of this but I really liked Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin and it’s a shame we didn’t get to see him do more with the role. I actually think he could’ve been a good addition to the Raimi Spider-Man movies. And I know he voiced the character in TNAS but I still would’ve like to have seen him in live action one more time

It is funny how they pretty much let Colin Farrell go over the top as he possibly good while at the same time not actually put in a costume unless they really thought they were gonna get a sequel to the movie

I feel like Elodie Yung's portrayal of Elektra is nowhere near talked about enough. She was PERFECT. Her and Charlie's chemistry was off the charts and I felt so engaged with their relationship. Really hope she returns.

7:53 I think it's because blue is less harsh on the eyes to look at when in say a dark theater. It could be a stylistic choice or it could be because they found red to harsh to look at.
The Elektra movie is SLIGHTLY better than 2004's Catwoman when it comes to superheroine movies, though that's not really an achievement.
Frankly, I'll take it over the M-She-U.

I'm sorry but Elektra training while Evanescence Bring Me To Life played gave young me life, I used to watch that scene on rewind... it was so good... I'm scared to rewatch these movies cause I'm 98% sure they won't hold up well.
But the MCU version of Elektra was trained by The Hand when she was younger.
Same, that was my introduction to Evanescence in 1st grade, I used to jam to it every chance I heard it come on in the car,store, tv, and the mall at the time. I wish more comic book films had rock films, but I can’t think of many that would fit.

The Affleck Daredevil started out realistic with Matt Murdock having to sleep in isolation chamber and take pain killers but then… playground scene 😒
Elodie Yung was PERFECT. Her chemistry of toxic love with Charlie was so satisfying to watch. She was funny too. They better bring her back. DD isn't the same without her ngl. If they recast I'll boycott the MCU.
Elodie Yung was a good actress but I hated the fact that they based her elektra on the one from the "man without fear" miniseries. Her character in the show just became "sexy psychotic exotic temptress" and she changes goals at the drop of a hat. I also didn't like that the whole reason she and Matt got together in college to begin with was because of stick.
@galactic85 I liked that twist of them meeting in college because Stick wanted to keep tabs on Matty and drive him into the dark side. And I understand you like a different portrayal of Elektra, but I liked this one that was raised a killer and thanks to Matt being loving, it motivated her to want to be good like him instead of corrupting him.

Gotta respect Affleck for trying out so many superheroes. He played a Superman actor, he can't escape from being Batman, and of course he played a Daredevil that most people dislike more after the Netflix series was made.
This kid is one of my favorite youtubers. One of my "ooh new upload" channels. Like Matt orchard, jcs, (old funhaus), Mr Sundays movies, super eyepatch wolf. Godzilla mendoza is definitely on the list.
I was watching a video on the Incredible Hulk and their TV movies that tried and failed to spawn spinoffs for Thor, She-Hulk, whoever that pseudo-Black Widow was and Daredevil, complete with interviews with those actors!
1. Bob Duncan was Thor at one point!?!
And 2. If the MCU wants to take full advantage of these multiverse storylines, I would do what the Arrowverse did and bring in as many unrelated Marvel actors as possible, including these actors! I never watched either Daredevil project but it would be awesome to give other multiple incarnations of the same character interact, including the Daredevils.
Better yet John Rhys-Davies played the Kingpin, you know Gimli.

I recently read the Jason Aaron run of the punisher MAX, I get the feeling jason Aaron was slightly inspired by that take when writing that universes version of bullseye
Do you think you could go over One Moment In Time or the whole One More Day Saga? I have mixed feelings over that story because it does feel like they did their best at picking up the shattered pieces, but they ultimately made MJ a worse character. Like they basically nerfed her by saying she wasn't strong enough to be Spider-Man's wife.
I feel Xavier would say it's low-hanging fruit and there's nothing else he could say that hasn't been already said. It would more than likely be something like "How One More Day ruined THIS specific story of Spider-Man", or "Fine, Peter and MJ can never be married...then give them new Partners" while commenting on the Paul situation going on rn.

Actually the first mcu was spider man 1,2,3 and the punisher movie where the punished is in the background of 2 when mj left jjs son at the alter.

I really enjoyed Elektra. I (usually) enjoy slow-burn movies anyway -- Moon, 2001, the original Solaris, etc -- so I found it uniquely interesting for a super-flick.

I will say that the ben affleck daredevil movie, is my introduction to our man without fear and this is a good retrospective feels nice to pop holes into marvel movies from our early two thousands nostalgia.
To be fair, even the Netflix Elektra had her critics. She excelled when it was all about her relationship with Matt, but the Hand storyline brought her character down a few notches.

Sweatpants in Moon Girl and Devil Dino is based as hell, I'd deffo recommend the show if you haven't seen it. It goes way harder than it has a right to be.
It's not a good adaptation of the comic by a long shot though

If you can find it, get the 2 disk extended edition, of this movie. It's not as long as the Director's cut, but does have a bit more footage than the theatrical cut, and is kind of a happy middle ground between the two versions.
If you do Hulk (2003) you HAVE to convince Josh to do it with you.

I went on my first date with my first ever girlfriend to see this movie in the theater when it came out...and i LOVED IT. I knew as i got older that it wasnt a good movie but it was always an important movie to me.
Daredevil was definitely one of the movies of all time
Jennifer garner did the best with what she had, also her premonitions of death and ninja powers came from the hand, which is comics accurate. Also elektra is skilled enough to throw her sais like that lol, do you know her feats?

I remember seeing Electra with my friends in theaters. I also remember my friends making jokes because I was so bored in Electra I fell asleep and missed like 30 minutes of the movie. I had no idea what was going on after, I don’t even remember what I saw of the film. I also have not seen it since.
