  • Hi! There are a lot of spectacular carpentry works with kitchen cutting boards on the vastness of CZcams. And 3D, burning, wood cutting. But for my taste, the cutting board should be very simple and elegant at the same time. In this video, my fantasy on the topic of making cutting boards.
    Enjoy watching! #nomorewords #asmr #asmrvideo #woodwork #carpenter #cuttingasmr

    Beautiful representation of the wood and craftsmanship. These are obviously presentation boards and not utility boards for nightly food prep. The face grain Walnut is perfectly suited for this use and I love that these types of pieces can utilize the grain in the design.

    Nice looking work! I would never glue the foot, the dovetail will keep it in place. Drill a small hole in the center of your foot and glue in a wood pin from the bottom up but not thru the top, can't move sideways or fall out. IMO. I enjoy the "No More Words" format, Thanks, John

    These are beautiful boards but walnut cutting boards will warp over time, especially after a number of cleaning cycles. These should be used as charcuterie boards, they will last longer . Cutting boards should be end grain or edge grain.

    • @no_more_words
      @no_more_words  Před rokem +1

      Greetings!
      You are right, but the "axes" boards are not cutting, but serving.
      The other two boards can be used as you like without bending them, since they have oak transverse inserts installed.
      Well, at the very end of the video, if you look closely, then there are slightly different options, a mixed board - end + face 😉

    Wait, yes these a really pretty, but you are selling Face Grain cutting boards? They won’t last a month of use before looking terrible. I’d be more impressed had you done the same with either Edge Grain and best End Grain! Amazing how little people truly know.

      Everything is fine, don't worry 😉🙌
      These boards can be used as serving boards, for serving dishes and then it will last a very long time👍

      90% of cutting boards made and sold are face grain, and they work fine and last a long time

      The robot only accelerated the manufacturing process, but the main work is done by hand 😉
