You're welcome! Gala Yuzawa usually opens for skiing in late November or early December, but that depending on the weather conditions. Better to keep an eye on their official website for the latest updates.
Hello Bouken. Thanks for this. Very helpful. Can I ask if it is possible to make an earlier seat reservation for Kawaguchiko-Shinjuku trip at Shinjuku Station before leaving or reservation can only be made at Kawaguchiko during departure? Thanks ahead 😊😊.
Hi Alven, yes you can make seat reservation up to one month before (if I remember correctly), so it doesn't have to be right before departure like in the video.

Hello, with TWP you can also reserve for the Fuji Express train as well.

Hi there! I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog! When returning to Shinjuku from Kawaguchiko, you can board the trains without reservations, just note that on limited express trains there are reserved seat cars and free seat cars.
Regarding the timetable, there are approximately two trains per hour, if I recall correctly. The final limited express train departs at around 17:30, and following that, the last local train runs later, around 10 pm or possibly even later.

Hello. Very useful video! I just had one query. Do I have to buy another Tokyo wide pass for travelling back to Tokyo from Kawaguchiko using the same route? Or the same pass can be used multiple times ? Thanks!
Tokyo Wide Pass valid for 3 consecutive days, you can take as many trains as you like on those 3 active days. Thanks for watching!
Hello! When using the tokyo wide pass, why not stop directly to Kawaguchiko instead of getting off at Otsuki? Sorry curious as it will be my first time using the Tokyo wide pass

This is the most detailed video I've ever seen going to Mt Fuji from Shinjuku using JR Tokyo Wide Pass. I just have a couple of questions going back from Kawaguchiko Station to Shinjuku. So we need to ride the rail way from Kawaguchiko Station to Otsuki for free using JR Tokyo Wide Pass right? And another is do we need to do seat reservation from Otsuki to Shinjuku?
Thank you! Yes, the train back to Otsuki then Shinjuku is covered by TWP , now about seat reservation, it's advisable to secure your prefered seating. But even without seat reservation you can get aboard the limited express train.
It's worth noting that after 6 pm, limited express trains might not be available, so you'd likely take the local or rapid trains, which don't have seat reservations.

I booked in advance from JREast website, days before my flight.
Using the tokyo wide pass, you don't need to reserve a seat at the otsuki station to get to kawaguchiko?
Correct, you can still board the train without seat reservation.
Hi, first of all thank you for your detailed vlog! It was very helpful for me as i am planning to visit Japan in September. Just one question: How long did the trip from Tokyo to Fuji take you?
By Fuji you mean Kawaguchiko station? If you take the Fuji Excursion train from Shinjuku directly to Kawaguchiko, it will take an hour and 50 minutes. That's the fastest you can get from Tokyo.

@@citrakusumawijaya2277 that's right, but note that the particular Fuji Excursion train that runs direct to Kawaguchiko is only operates like twice in a day (must check again the timetable at station to be sure)

Fuji Excursion yg langsung sampe Kawaguchiko tanpa transfer jadwalnya jarang, sehari hanya 2/3 kali.
Jadi kebanyakan org transfer di Otsuki, sekalian mengunjungi atraksi sekitar sebelum sampe Kawaguchiko.
Kereta dari Otsuki sampai Kawaguchiko tetap dicover JR TWP.

I didn't, simply took normal trains back to Shinjuku ( not limited express) , since I didn't have fixed time to go back.

Schedule ke Kawaguchiko dan sebaliknya ada banyak koq, cuma ga semua limited express, naik aja rapid express atau local kalau terpaksa, tapi tenang aja sampe malem jg ada banyak.

near Ueno Park is excellent very close to station, plus shinkansens stop there too.
hi, mau tanya kalau misalkan saya sampai tanggal 8 dan mau menggunakan passnya untuk tanggal 10-12 apa bisa ditukarkan duluan tgl 8 di airport? atau penukaran harus di hari h aktif?
Ga harus di tgl aktif, bisa 1 hari sebelumnya, jadi misal mau pakai tgl 10, bisa ditukar tgl 9.
Is there any chance NOT getting a seat on the train reserved or not TO Kawaguchiko and back to tokyo?
It's a small chance the train is fully reserved.

Kawaguchiko adalah stasiun terakhir kak, setelah itu ke sekitar gunung Fuji bisa naik bus/mobil. Fuji Excursion direct to Kawagucgiko juga terbatas ya jadwalnya, sekitar 2 kali perjalanan sehari.

Harus e paspor kak, bikin aja kak sangat memudahkan, termasuk proses imigrasi.

No extra cost; the train was about to leave, and I noticed empty seats in the non-reserved car, so I didn't bother to make a seat reservation.

Hi Boyetmonzon, what are the other lines you mentioned? The route that I showed in the video was with Tokyo Wide Pass only, no additional fare.

Reserved seat tanpa TWP jg bisa kak, ada biayanya. Naik non reserved jg bisa, balita tidak dikenakan biaya kalau di Jepang, termasuk shinkansen.
