If anyone ever tells me Rob coming back didn't make Jay leave I ask them to watch this. At this juncture Jay had a voice, he was no longer the forgotten one. He was a member of the biggest selling act of the 90s. I don't ever regret Bob coming back and the Progress tour was amazing but this is why Jay left. He was sidelined. I miss him.
Barlow said in his 2018 biography that Jason was already contemplating leaving after the release of The Circus unless Robbie came back on board. It's important to note that Jason and Robbie were able to speak truthfully to each other about their similar experiences in the band's first incarnation shortly after the 2005 documentary. As a lot of people would know Jason is a man who doesn't like being in the limelight too long so I believe it had more to do with that rather than questioning his place in the band.
i dont mean in a bad way, but somehow when they are 5, the presence of Robbie over shadowing all of them. i like Robbie, but for now, I prefer the 4-men formation better. just my opinion, dont hate me. lol

Por todo o material veiculado na mídia, é possível entender que pertencer a um grupo foi um peso muito grande para a saúde mental e emocional do Robbie. Por outro lado, quando o take that se tornou um quarteto, foi possível enxergar o brilho, o talento e o profissionalismo de cada um deles de forma mais plena. A "sintonia" entre eles era maravilhosa na era "the four".
