    Can i use food colouring in soaps? And other than EO, can i use something else, or can i just not use any fragrance and just rely on the dried flowers?

    • @Anni3
      @Anni3  Před 4 lety +2

      syaza mckenzie yes you can use food colouring! I always use the gel kinds because it is more concentrated. You can use other fragrance oils that are much cheaper options. The dried flowers will also have a faint fragrance but it won’t be very strong.

    Hi, Can I use the clear soap base instead of that white base?

    • @Anni3

      Hope Ameliè yes! Clear soap will work. It will just look a little different and not opaque

    I have cut many blooms from my plants. Must I use the lavender oil to obtain the smell or are the blooms sufficient?

    • @Anni3
      @Anni3  Před 3 lety +2

      I personally prefer adding more lavender oil but if you have a lot of lavender laying around and don’t mind a weaker scent, you can omit. I suggest rubbing the buds to release oils and scents before adding to your soap.

    My soap smells great but my lavender went brown! Any ideas on why this might have happened?

    • @Anni3
      @Anni3  Před 3 lety +1

      To prevent it from turning brown, you can add the top layer of lavender after the soap has cured. You can use alcohol to adhere the buds.

      @viyavora Před 3 lety +2

      same happened with me

    • @ireneinwales
      @ireneinwales Před rokem

      Lavender will re-absorb moisture and go brown then mouldy which is dangerous for allergies. Just add lavender to the top when soap has slightly hardened, that way it should fall off with first use. Please research yourself. I only learnt that today so just sharing to save others disappointment. 🙂

    Can I add Almond oil or Vitamin e to the ingredients of this lavender soap?

    • @Anni3
      @Anni3  Před 4 lety

      Hope Ameliè yes! Anything oil based will be fine. I wouldn’t add too much or else it will mess with the consistency. If you want to add a lot of almond oil, I suggest making soap from scratch instead of using melt and pour soap.

    • @hopeamelie692
      @hopeamelie692 Před 4 lety

    • @Anni3
      @Anni3  Před 4 lety

      Yes you can just add vitamin oil! That sounds very exciting! I don’t have a soap business and don’t know much about making soap out of doing some personal projects. But I have a feeling melt and pour soap will be very expensive and it will be less profitable. Good luck!
