If you understand Spanish the words to this are incredibly simple yet beautiful and immediately have the ability to make me well up with tears every single time I come to listen to this video. The singer absolutely nails the feeling the lyrics are meant to inspire in the listener.
Especially the part where she yells and says, "Love, so that you can fight against the wind and fly, to discover the beauty of the sea."

La versión anterior la canta Francesca Gagnon en ritmo de tango y es verdad, es más desgarradora, ésta es una hermosa versión cantada en forma de una canción melancólica. Ambas son muy lindas interpretaciones de una bella canción.

Tuve la oportunidad de ir a ver Alegría en Julio a Montreal y fue maravilloso. El otro año quiero regresar. This show is amazing, I really loved It, I want to watch it again.

There is something so mystical about the lyrics to this song. It's almost like listening to a whispering cosmic wind that is trying to explain how to find joy in an abyss of melancholy. Haunting. Beautiful. It must have been written by someone who understands deep depression and what it feels like to come out of it.

i saw Alegria last month on the fifth on a saturday at the Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington and after the show, i was amazed by the performance, the music, the atomosphere and the story telling. Since then, I have become fully infatuated with the whole Cirque du Soleil experience. I hope to see Alegria again next year!

as much as I adore the old Alégria, I'm going to have to say that this version of Querer is much better than the old one, it just flows better in my opinion.
also, I'm very happy to see the snowstorm scene is still there! that scene frightened me so much when I was little, I actually had nightmares the first time I'd watched Alégria on dvd. it's one of my favorite 'scary' moments in any kind of entertainment now

The old version was tango style and Francesca"s voice was amazing just didn't like the pronunciation of Spanish. But anyways her interpretation was especial for me, this new version is for the new generations to be more pleasant I guess. And the pronunciation is correct.
The original version of Querer was sung by incomparable Francesca. No other singer would deliver such a passionate and beautiful background for the Cirque’s numbers in Alegria. The first version of the show was much better. The current version looks like a Kiev Circus School… I saw many shows by the Cirque bu Soleil and, frankly, the latest Alegria was a disappointment.
@@silrob7528 - as a gal who was raised on the Mexican border, it never does compute well when I hear Castellano pronunciation. Not enjoyable to hear it sung either. Oh well...

Circe de sol always top notch choreography., I’ve never witnessed myself but only through tv releases and social media. I’d like very much to see this in real life. Such visual stimulation is lost on the monitor.

Man, I always wanted to see the original show but I was only born in 1996. So when I found out about this about a week ago my immediate thought was: "Have they been to Europe yet? Will they come to Europe? if they're coming to Europe, when will that be?" If anyone knows I'd really appreciate it. I'm now finally old enough that I might be able to afford a ticket and I'd absolutely love to see the show. I've only ever seen recordings and though it is impressive it just can never compete with the real thing. Anyway, love the video, the music and the shows

Hands down, the BEST of all of the Cirque du Soleil's spectacles. The scenography, the acrobatics, the costumes, and very obviously, that gorgeous music score. A priceless Cirque performance, accompanied by a band and a LIVE songstress. A revival to celebrate the beloved original "Alegria" production of 1994. Bravo ! !
