My memories of BRISCA F1 are of a few races at Gerry Dommet`s Matchams Stadium, just outside Ringwood, Hampshire. The only driver I can remember was Les Suckling who ran Jaguar engine cars. Think he came from East London? Matchams Stadium was primarily stock car racing but after being sold to Les Eaton`s Speedeworth organisation, a speedway track was opened but it never took off, primarily being used for practice. Motorcross and stadium cross were also held with some larger motorcross events being quite successful. The stadium closed for good(?) this year.
@@rosewhite--- still do as far as I’m aware. All I know is they sound glorious!! Been watching since ‘79 and had many visitors to the old Belle Vue on Hyde Road, including watching Stuart Smith win the 1984 world final.
