Tax cuts didn't cause that, an inept city police force did. The median salary for a Camden, NJ police officer is $79,656 per year. Now TELL ME HOW a police officer paid 80k a year takes 15 minutes to get to a murder call?
And half of them KEPT THEIR JOBS, JUST MOVED. Numbskull. Took me 5 minutes.

The word "liberal" is overused by Republicans. We are so concerned with whether we like the person talking that we get distracted from the facts. The fact that the most serious promise Romney has made is to balance the budget by 2020 and he has NO BUDGET should alarm people . . . In Chris Christie's speech, he refers to "tough choices", but he doesn't define any of them . . . The same thing happened with Obama four years ago. As many commenters have pointed out, this is concerning.

An educated person would not use the term "teabagger" or many other things in your post. Maybe a few people who are Republicans fall for the Government hand-outs, before they grow up and repent, but as a rule, Republicans/Conservatives have self-respect and don't want to depend on their fellow citizens to support them. The Government does not have money. I did not go to college because my family was poor. Student loans were not available at the time. That does not make you better than me.

As far as having him as governor of your state, come and get him. We will pray for you if you do. He's the type of person that believes if he says something enough times, people will accept it as fact. He does not tell the truth, just the truth as he would like it to be.

That's all Christie is worried about, Christie. He doesn't care of Romney wins or not. He told Romney right to his face that he can't deliver the state of NJ. He just didn't tell Romney why. Because people in NJ know what they're up to because they've seen what he's done to our state.

They absolutely shouldn't be hated for their money, but it is a fact that a lot of money CAN breed ignorance and arrogance. Does it apply to everybody? Absolutely not. However, Romney has proven time and time again that he falls into this category. He can't relate to the average American. It's not his fault; he grew up in a different world, and a different lifestyle. I believe he's sincere when he talks about hard work, but he can't fully appreciate building yourself up from nothing.

You want to argue semantics, go ahead. Christie understands that what made Rome, Greece, and Great Britain sprawl culturally and ideologically through the world was consistent commitment to expansion. We just don't have the cagey attitude of those smaller European communal utopias. Neither does Russia, that's why they just put Putin back in power. We need to answer for that on the global frontier.

The CEO's job is harder so they're paid more, corporations pay their employees, you're stupid if you think otherwise, we have close to the top corporate tax rate in the world, problem is no one pays it - 12% average corporate tax paid on income in 2010. Average. That's the problem. The nominal rate is 35%, but the tax lawyers make it so they pay 12%. Ryan wants to end the loopholes and drop the nominal rate to 25%, making it the real rate of pay. Less taxes owed, the more people actually pay.

    1) Your seniors aren't that selfish? Try telling that to Romney and Ryan when they desperately pander to them that the Ryan Plan won't affect *their" Medicare.
    2) Anyone who claims to want to make tough choices and tell Americans the "hard truths" should know that that involves cuts to spending, entitlements, AND defense, as well as a raise in taxes. Otherwise, they're talking out of their ass. These are not the deficit hawks you're looking for.

As simply as I can put it without getting too into numbers with you (again), it will make the economy better by striving to increase domestic production and bring profits back home. It will increase revenue. It will do all the economic things Obama has run on (and is running again on) by making hard budgetary decisions, not throwing the dice on gov't subsidies for solar panels. It will drive prices down and paychecks up.

Jabba the Hut of New Jersey, in the keynote speech, angrily demanded that the American people learn the hard truths about the two parties, but like most of those at the microphone, he failed to supply any. He said his state needed his austere discipline of slashed budgets, canceled public projects and broken public unions, but did not mention that New Jersey now has a higher unemployment rate than when he took over, and never had the revenue boom he promised from tax cuts.

It has a lot to do with his ability to lead the American people. How can you lead anybody if you don't understand them and what they go through on a daily basis? This is why every military officer spends their initial training as enlisted; to at least get a glimpse of what their junior soldiers and sailors go through. I'm not saying you have to be on the same level as them constantly; but you have to have at least SOME experience in that situation in order to fully appreciate it.

Dude, we gave you moderates twice - McCain and Romney. I think everyone knows that while Romney's abortion flip-flops were exaggerated, he wasn't exactly a radical "NO ABORTION AT ALL" person, and he was fairly moderate on gay rights as well. He also believed in evolution and global warming. Meanwhile, Obama's stunning campaign consisted of Big Bird, binders full of women, and the threat that "they're gonna put y'all back in chains." If that is moderate, I shudder to think of what "radical" is.

    Are you being rhetorical? Y/N
Yes: Well, the government's told them all this time it's theirs for the taking in their golden years. I wouldn't want to be the one to tell them otherwise, and apparently, neither do any of the politicians Republican and Democrat alike.
No: I guess it's not, really. Though they did pay for (a fraction of) it with everybody else.

I know, it's outrageous. Someone has to take the step to do something. The lifestyle that we have come to know and enjoy is over unless somebody, some where does something about our government & polititions. We cannot, however, talk about disbanding the system. It has to be overhauled and reformed right from our local city governments to the Whitehouse. We as a people must act soon, or it'll be too late, if it isn't already. God bless America, PLEASE!!!!!

I'm sorry, will you please point out anything he said that was substantial or worthy of discussion? And besides, his obesity reveals the nature of his character more than any of his words could.

How can this man control a budget if he can't control his weight?

I live in the number 3 city for crime in the 75,000 - 99,000 population range, I just found out. Camden, NJ is in the number 1 position. That being said, I tried to fact check what's-his-face from The Young Turks and found no published crime rate for 2012. He's talking about the crime rate for 2011 in Camden, which went down. I checked. Maybe he wasn't expecting that. I get my facts raw, not in unhealthy frozen-dinner prepared form like TYT.

What a ridiculous thing to say ... I mean what should they do? Jump up and down and high five each other, while he's talking?

He may be walking for president, but it´s time for Ron or Rand Paul in 2016.

I'm glad Christie stayed true too himself and didn't make his speech about the spineless Romney and made it about our country and what is wrong with both parties
I like how at 17:20 everyone cheers for Romney and he stays seated like a king what a POS he should of stood and cheered Christie because he is ten times the man Romney is

"If you give corps tax cuts with no regulations on outsourcing, the tax rate could go down to 0%" Pointless speculation. The definition of speculation is conjecture, forming an opinion on a future based on no facts. Ergo, making - shit - up.
