In this video, I share 3 tips to help you sing better. This is a response to the large number of vocal coach questions I get about the voice. I hope it helps. - Hudba
Sleep is EXTREMELY important in maintaining your voice. I chose to focus on technical elements of singing in this video, but diet, exercise, and sleep can work wonders for your vocal health.
I think one of the most useful tips to singing is losing shame & not being scared to do "stupid things". Like some/most warm-ups include making weird noises & if you're afraid to sound dumb, it's going to be tougher to sound good.
To achieve what most consider to be a true "belt sound", you would have to allow some chest voice in the coordination for a mix. Pure head voice alone won't give you the undertones you need. Belting is generally considered a function of chest voice/chesty mixed voice.
He sounds better than me trying to be perfect even when he’s giving example of what a bad vocal sounds like. Smh

Acid reflux can be either slightly annoying or damaging, depending on the severity of your condition. Acid reflux causes the vocal folds to swell and become inflamed. This can indeed weaken the voice and make it prone to other forms of damage. In nearly all cases, however, the problems can be lessened by making dietary changes. Many of my clients have benefited greatly by limiting or eliminating fast foods, and by increasing water and vegetable consumption.

I'm with you. I feel the same way about dancing, except I just try to just do it and get it over with. I mean, what the hell are they gonna do if you don't sound so good anyway? Beat you up? And if you get laughed at, so what? It's just another learning experience, and I know it may seem tough, and trust me, if you go into a performance, you're gonna have SERIOUS aching, and you'll feel like you're about to have a heart attack, but when you start, it won't be so bad.

You know, even the best of singers have stage fright and as stupid as it may seem, even those who've been doing this for decades experience that sometimes... and it's not like they've never been doing this!! ;) And as bashbro said, you're not gonna die from performing (good or badly). Even pros sometimes mess up. Don't let it get over you or you'll just miss a thrilling experience! :)

thank you eric i have to say i took vocal lessons for years and it is only now that i understand my voice and how to breath i mean got to grade 7 in singing and got distinctions in all but u have done more 4 me i have an audition for a band tomorrow and i feel alot more confident now i've watched your videos... so thanks again and wish me luck
