There’s no shortcuts to having material. An audience will know within seconds if you are prepared or not.
Having set material would seem like a pre requisite for the tour if you ask me. Sounds like a set up. How a rich man masquerading around as a comedian is somehow devoid of material will forever be a mystery to me, especially knowing that you don’t even need to be talented at DC’s current celebrity level, you just gotta know how to execute.
I’ll never understand how neither him nor Tiffany Haddish can ever be consistently funny when at the end of the day both of them have money. A smart person would’ve paid a ghost writer and just performed and called it a day! I watched DC Young Fly on B.E.T’s Comic View & compared to all the comics that went on, he was the least funniest. He wasn’t telling jokes but making fun of the audience. agreed...however Richard would let you know Mudbone was up. That transition let you know to expect musings, inspiration and wisdom instead of "jokes". It helps that Richard's regular comedy was intelligent as well. DC"s comedy (silly) and the sermon/character is a jarring juxtaposition that many fans of silly comedy can't adjust to.

I went to the show when he came to Milwaukee Wisconsin,no one booed because we understood the message behind the words
DC was on Cam Newton's show and was asked if he ever got booed. His response was that he never put himself in position to be booed . When in reality, every single time he hits the stage he's in position to be booed. Hopefully he received that message while delivering one. Much love to DCyoung Fly
