- This guide shows you all the strings/combos that are the best to use on gauntlets. Gauntlets has dozens of strings but they're not all good. In this video, I go over the best strings and combos that I personally use on gauntlets, the ones I think you need to know, the ones you must know to become really good. I hope the guide helps you improve your brawlhalla gameplay.

It says all of the things he went over in experimental and the tutorial I think, just read them and ur good to go
S = side
N = Neutral ( up )
D = Down
GC = Gravity Cancel ( spot dodge in the air and attack immediately after and you will do your grounded attack instead of your aerial )
Light = your faster, normal, attacks. Not the big flashy slow ones
Heavy = your characters signature attacks, for val it would be the ones where she throws out the electric shuriken, or whips her gauntlets around
Recovery = Use your heavy attack in the air and you will go up a lot. It's a good attack move and great for if you get knocked off stage
GP = ground pound, you do your recovery but instead of holding up or the side, you hold down. Great for smacking jumpy players down to the ground or hitting players trying to get back on stage
Sair,Dair,Nair = your light attacks but in the air
ChD = Chase dodge, if you hit somebody and then dash immediately after, you will get a longer faster dash. It's really good for chasing people ( hence it's called chase dodge )

dlight into nair into rec is very good and does work above 140 damage. I've tested it multiple times, it just needs to be done with a running start after that.

I often use SLight, SAir, NAir, GP. Unfortunately its quite easy to Dodge and only Works at low damage (u can also Experiment with it for example DAir instead of GP or follow up with more GP‘s and stuff like that). Thanks for the Video keep it up 🙂

and some are just so ridiculously hard to preform that they may as well be invalid

These videos are terrific, but I think you should make some "countering" videos about what strategies to opt for against certain weapons, and where to look for openings!

From Nair to Recovery you can also Jump then Nair to Dair or Groundpound, just wanted to say this because you said it has low follow up potential
4:53 some if not most of the characters can follow up with a gc nsig, i do it allot on core, but think it works for val wu shang and cross aswell, unsure about mordex
This is only on low dmg white-yellow ish. It allows for some nice dmg building, dlight slight nair rec gc nsig, on kor you'll throw them into thr ground for a potential followup like sair or dair, or gp, whatever floats your boat
On core? LOOOOL its kor
Slight+nair+gc nlight/ssig when the opponent has a low damage is a really good combo as well.
At a more medium dmg you could prob do slight rec chase Dodge dair and maybe Nair too at higher dmg
A good gautlets dodge read is slight -> GC slight to any side. It is easy to do and can cause a lot of damage

I didn't watch the full vid but here is a combo I know slight then Nair/upair then dair it's pretty good but requires some timing you'll usually see only Nair/up air and dair in a match I use slight rather than dlight due to the fact that you can combo more easily

I wish you'd explain the timing for the strings/combos a little better for your videos. But at the same time i can't find anything better.
1:18 axe, hammer, katars, orb, cannon all have variable dLight force
But gauntlets dlight has 0 variable force

One string I've been working on is a near 0-death. Dair-slight-recovery-nair-dair-dtilt-slight-nair-ground pound

I like to use this combo for when y hit de gc dnair you dodge diagonal and do a dnair it set up for side sig, another one of these is Slight Nair expivot Dnair and folow up with something.
Do these strings remain the same at this moment? (Trying them on Mordex, some are doable, some are not so much)

My gauntlets combo is Dlight, Nlight, Slight, Nair, Sair... works perfectly
Can you do these tutorials but like ps4/xbox edition? no matter how fast you are none of these strings work on controller. I've tried it on pc (despite only playing brawl on pc once) and it works fine. on controller the input isn't fast enough so the system won't run those strings. this is why most pro fighting players play on pc or fight stick
I have another string I discovered when I miss inputed the last string
instead of GC dlight use GC slight and recovery or nair

I just started playing this on PS4 and I can't do these strings no matter how hard or how many times I try. Did something change since this video? Or is it something to do with using a controller instead of keyboard.
Specifically my issue is with the combos that require you to jump right after Dlight. If I go real fast, it does the attack as if I'm on the ground after using dodge. If I wait a bit, my targets are never in the position you have them in, even when I adjust their damage level.
Either something changed or I just suck lol. But I have been trying for over an hour and haven't been able to pull off the Dlight - - > Nair combo

The Man it works but you have to be fast about it
Dlight > Jump > Chase Dodge > Recovery. The jump and Chase Dodge are almost simultaneously.
Unbind jump from aim up.
For a keyboard oyu can do the dlight and then tap the forward, heavy attack, jump and dodge at the same time and it works
might i recommend Wu Shang, and his dexterity stance?
You can do SLight Nair SAir Nair GP, it's a pretty good 0-death combo that needs no GCs

it needs that you chase dodge after the sair tho and isnt very consistent, i sometimes try to chd the sair with a nair and if you dont cancel the chd immediatly the nair won't land. this string also only works at low damages only, cause sair has a lot of force and you cant follow it up if your opponent is sent too far
There's a very good combo
1. Hit when you're standing
2.Quickly Hit full forward to lift it
3. Hit him in the air forward
It's a pretty good combo

So for the dlight into nair is a certain dex required? I play Kor and can't seem to get the combo true, so do I keep practicing or should I play Val or Wu Shang?

wu shang is better than Kor becuase the staff is more versitle but also wu shang has more dexterity
wu shang is better than kor cuz wu shang is a broken spam character so dont play wu shang

one that requires little skill is dlight (move slight to the right ) nlight slight and nair (at some damages not sure tho you can do double recovery
DLight NLight is true sure but you're not gonna hit the slight if your opponent just pressed dodge

0-death is slight nair sair (do this if they are off the stage now) fast fall to them, dair and then if they jump sair if the dont mdodge nair gp (do this if they are still on the ground after sair in the beginning) mdodge nair sair fast fall to them, dair and then if they jump sair if the dont mdodge nair gp.
Any tips on landing Dlight into ChD Nair? I always end up doing side air since I can't move my finger on D to W fast enough.
Use spacebar as jump instead of W. it's much better to land combos
Yup you have to use spacebar or at least that’s what I do
NeurologicalStyle right after Dlight you jump first then dodge quickly after jumping and finally you do nair. Ps you have to be moving to right to perfectly land it. Idk if this made sense but I tried.

James Wamboldt you have to be pretty quick. i can't tell you what you are doing wrong but that. it is still possible to do. the only advice i can give you is to hold the directional key (where you want to dodge to) while still doing the attack before you chase dodge, it may help cause it is easier to hold it before the attack finishes cause if you dodge when it's done you have smaller reaction time (this doesnt quite work with some attacks tho: for example if you are doing a nair and holding a directional key before it ends, you will be moving sideways (if you are holding sideways directional ket) while doing the nair, so you might find yourself in a position you didn't want to be in)

You can’t move after a gravity cancel, yet you Can move again after The few extra recovery frames of a gravity cancel.

Recovery has an immense amount of followup potential. Recovery dair is one dodge frame.

when i try to do the DLight -> Rec and i press rec at the same time as dash, it gc’s. every time, i end up just doing an nsig instead of a rec
yea im having the exact same problem even thought when i do it without attacking someone i can do it just fine. it seems that when you hit someone and then dash it dashed further which might be causing the problem
Can someone explain to me wtf kind of language he is using. I’m new. I have no idea what a Nair is, or GP, or DLight or basically anything. What do they mean?
Nair means neutral air( witch means jumping up and looking up and pressing the light attack button) GP means ground pound( jumping and looking down and pressing the heavy attack key or y on Xbox) D light is means down light(when you grounded and you look down and press the light attack key or y on Xbox or triangle on ps4
