As a cleaner for new construction well over a decade there is a lot more you need to check out. Ensure all doors open and close. All windows latch and slide open freely plus all latches to hold window in ace are operational. Faucet fittings are tight. Splash water on sinks to see if properly caulked. I can go on and on but you get the 💡. I point out flaws and usually get brushed off. In the end, I polish these turds, people still buy them at these rates and prices. Maybe I can get payback for starting a walk thru assistance guy and point out all the flaws that need to be fixed ASAP. Sure, some are annoying but blow them off and over the uears you wish the issues were addressed to begin with.

@@Wyatt_Spencer Pretty much. It met a couple while cleaning, really nice folk. They spent everything thay had to get a home. I see so many things botched and covered up and didn't want them to get screwed. I sort of guided them to areas that needed attention and they were like this doesn't seem right. Some were simple things I learned that over the years can be a PITA to fix or touch up or if this was done like would be better and it would last longer. Didn't cost the builder much to fix just the way it should be done in the first place. Sort of that Mike Holmes show when he says things like if there was simple caulking here there wouldn't be an issue. Inspectors don't catch things like this. I see the plumbers to AC to painters just getting in and out to post their invoice. No! Do it the proper way dang it! Takes you 5 minutes to do the right thing. Hard right over the easy wrong.

@@bruiselee28 many little things that are simply annoying. In bathrooms check if the fixtures are loose and no leaks into cabinet. Does tub stop seal and sink plunger work. Are light fixtures loose..Do all the window latches work and it opens and closes easily..Doors open and close properly. Big one is if you have a septic..Ensure the tanks are above grade and drainage slopes away from the tanks. Soil settles and moves so a few inches of settling may result in water seeping into the risers and flooding tanks. If a shaft areator, recipe for disaster. Mine ended up below grade and paying the price every hard rain. See, subs don't do anything beyond code. Barely up to code, least expensive option. They could Caulk here but won't. They could use a rubber membrane between garage walls sill/ sole plate. Washed many garage floors and nothing stopping the water from going under plate. They simply nail the plate without any protection or sealant. So many things. If it looks odd or weird it probably is. Guaranteed the tub and shower pans will look used already.

The walk through person here s very insightful. This model home is very nice. I would loved to move here. The guy we got in SoCal, he was godawful! He only wanted to show the main functions of the home and nothing else. When we saw something was improper and pointed out. "His responded was if we had to pay for it, it needs to be prefect." Other residents said the same thing about him! He had an answer for everything but not assisted the homes owners! The subcontractor Lennar hired to build their homes are very incredibly imperfections inside and outside and even the driveway or walkway!
