This might be my favorite vid of Bolle. He gets the energy, sharpness and musicality required to make Balanchine's very difficult choreography shine. And his imperialism and charisma makes him a perfect Oberon. Bravo!

BlueRaspberry That's realy nice to know. I think Tsiskardize is dancewise an amazing dancer, but ever since I found out he's an arrogant bastard I just don't like his dancing anymore. Now I find he has a very boastfull way of dancing, always showing off :/. Yaaay, for Roberto :D!!!
DonOnnie A great artist doesnt just bring technique to a role, but brings inner qualities that colour their performances also. However, part of the joy I find in watching Roberto dance, is that the humility, selflessness, and depth and breadth of emotion I can see in him reflects the man too. He is not only an incredible dancer (the best of his generation I believe) he is supremely intelligent and cultured, is passionate about the causes he believes in, irrepressibly positive, and just an all round good guy :)). Not one iota of DIVA about him at all.

But....the most amazing thing is how Roberto moves that amazing tall, long limbed body of his around with such lightness, making nothing of the delicate and intricate choreography required as king of all those little dahlings!! 😊
For me since 1965' Men Stars : Atanassoff - Denard - Noureev - Roberto Bolle no more ( J'm never saw V Vassiev on stage ) Baryschnikov at Paris Opera 1975' great technic but a ice block ! Five international-dancers with R Bolke

What production was this? I thought it would be Frederick Ashtons but its not. That would be a great version for him to show his talents off in.
