The Garuda Wisnu Kencana tells about the struggle of Lord Vishnu (Dewa Wisnu) who is assisted by the Garuda bird as his mount to seize Tirta Amerta (water of life) against the power of giants. Through a very deadly war, Tirta Amerta can be seized by The Lord Vishnu. The Tirta Amerta then is used to maintaining life.
