  • First ride on the all new 2023 KTM 300XC TBI. More to come but for now I'll say this is the best running and most fun KTM bike I've been on. The TBI coupled with the electronic power valve is a big improvement over TPI.

    You may have seen a certain review on this bike saying how bad the suspension is "almost unridable". Keep in mind they are trying to sell you thousands of dollars worth of aftermarket suspension parts.

    • @gpaull2
      @gpaull2 Před rokem +11

      Anyone who complains about ANY modern suspension definitely did not start riding on bikes from the ‘70s and ‘80s. Ride a ‘78 Suzuki for a year and you’ll know just how rideable everything is nowadays.

      Many of the same people say the same thing about Xplor suspension on the XCW/FE’s, KYBs on Beta…etc. I think it does depend on the terrain a lot, but most modern bikes are really good for the average rider. The A/Pro racer guys, or those really picky about their setup will change the suspension anyway, on any bike.

    Excellent vid as always. I was super impressed as well. The suspension is excellent after just a few clicker adjustments. I also noticed the more time on the bike, the suspension kept impressing me and got better and better. Totally agree, it's the best 'out of the box' suspension to date of any bike. Great show, PNW Enduro.

    I came off 2 seasons riding a 350XCF and switched to the 23 250xc. I noticed the frame had much less flex. Much more rigid for sure, I think a lot of guys could be blaming this on the suspension. If you are always sitting down it will feel harsh at times but if you are standing a lot it feels great. I only have 5 hours on mine, curious with some more hours of the frame will gain a bit more flex. Either way I’m really enjoying the bike. It’s an absolute weapon in the woods !

    Appreciate the honest review put out here! With the 2024 enduro bikes set to get all the upgrades that the xc and mx bikes got it makes me wonder if it's better to just wait for the XCW/TE to get the spring explorer forks?? I do like the versatility of the air fork for any kind of gp style tracks for jumps. I plan on buying a 2t trail/woods bike to compliment my '21 450sxf mx bike. At first I wanted the 2023 350xcf but felt that it would be too similar to my 450 to justify buying. I'm old so 4t always seemed the easiest way to go, but i hear a lot of good on these new 2t.

    Nice to see that you like the TBI. Since you already tried the smooth Smartcarb, I take your comments very seriously. Time for me to start saving money, to get next year a 300 XC-W with a TBI. Currently have a 2014 TE 250 with a Smartcarb and works very well.

    If anyone has experience on the 2023 250XC for this terrain I would love to know. My 2012 250xc left me wanting in the low end for the steeper trashier climbs out west where the 250 usually needs the higher revs which makes it much more difficult. I do love the 250 for its nimbleness and not sure I want to give it up.

    hi there, hey could you give your pros and cons compared to sherco 300se? i'm looking at either a husky tx300 or sherco. thanks for any info

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro  Před rokem +1

      Both great bikes but very different. TX300 is fuel injected so no need to tune for elevation and temperature, the new TBI motor has tons of power. Air forks are not the best IMO, I prefer spring forks The stator on the Husky is not very powerful so it may be an issue if you want to run lights and you will likely need to add a fan. The Sherco has better suspension and comes with a fan, trip computer and lights. It's still carbureted (for now) so you will either have to jet it or spend the money on a Smartcarb. It's best to try both first if you can. Sherco's feel quite a bit different, lots of people love them right away but some can't seem to get comfortable on them.
