Made some huge errors, doesn't matter how much effort you put into something if you make it unsafe. Series connection every 5 cells? Boy I hope that controller doesn't draw much current. And I hope thats pure nickel (I'm almost certain its not) because if thats nickel plated steel its current carrying capability is extremely limited.

at 3:48 you can count 19 cells from the left and 7 from the top and see that you have a cell backwards. This can cause a fire.

The openings in the nickel strips must be directly above the pole of the battery.
The whole point of the opening is to force the current down, so there will be a better and stronger spot weld.
Connect the cable at the end of the battery?
With this setup, you need many points down the entire battery.
200A BMS, but then you use 10 AWG cable, in addition to the thin little terminal connectors.
The battery could have been great, but this hurt to watch 😢

To anyone looking to replicate this. I would pick a different layout of the cells. So rather than the grouping going parallel I would go vertically. Additionaly the main leads should be in the middle of the p group, NOT at the end like shown. There will be significantly more load at one end of the cells than the other and will severely limit the max current you can draw. The cells at that end will get quite hot under high load while the ones at the other end do little work.

Yea.. i`d chose something like the small containers like at the beginning... you can just use jumper wires to connect them together in any configuration/shape you need... and on the + would be 3 cables for the output and the same for the - thus spreading the current/voltage load over 3 points not just one....

i came here to read this comment only! This is a gross mistake. Also i think that when you have this many cells in parallell, individual fusing is essential to prevent thermal runaway. For more info check out HB powerwall channel. cheers mate!

Yes, some of the cells will get hammered and fail early from heat, others won't contribute much to the massive 90kwh pack.

I think the 10AWG cable is way to thin. It is rated up to 50 amps.
Your Bms supports up to 200 Amps.
