Then, by the united wish for independence, a shared identity was created, with shared popular icons, sports and entertainment. Although regional differences within India are gigantic, there is relatively little racial or political violence, much less than you'd expect at least within so large a nation. I think it is very much possible that, within time, the nations and peoples in Africa will consider their own shared history of the nation (one of much conflict) a stronger part of their identity than that of the tribe or people they are, making them different but united, like India. I don't know when it will happen, but I'm confident that it will.

What I focus on is how a previously divided region can unite under a common cause. There is no civil war, petty dictators or coup d'etats in India, because unlike African nations, India isn't ruled by a single tribe that supports their own people and supresses others. Thanks for this! I hadn't realized this, and it's nice to learn something from CZcams about current events.
I do want to point out that this is probably one of the most one-sided conflicts you've covered on this channel. There were a lot of African countries backing Barrow, and Gambia is tiny as countries go. Senegal alone probably could have forced Jammeh out if it wanted to, considering it almost completely surrounds Gambia.
