One last thing, try not to stress about Ava and Jinx. Just like there are some humans that will never get along with each other, some birbs will never be friendly or like/get along with each other. You are doing an awesome job Jamieleigh and the fact that you are this stressed about them not being able to coexist in close proximity shows how much you love and care for these beautiful creatures.

It's crystal clear to me that this woman wants only the best for her birds and that she loves these beautiful creatures. But sometimes there is no satisfying solution for all problems. So if there are two birds which can't stand each other the best (and hardest) decision is the parting of the ways. Even if birds are no humans I can only compare the situation with a person that's stuck with another one who's constantly mobbing. It's often said how intelligent these kind of birds are and certainly they have emotions, too. It must be so stressful for them, just like it is for Jamie. The idea of letting one of them live at Jamie's parents may be the best way to reduce the stress for all parties. 😢

This may sound crazy but maybe (when weather permits), do an extreme version of the proximity/desensitization training you recommend for when birds hate certain people or fear certain things?
So what I mean is use those rolling aviaries and start as far as humanly possible (maybe like at opposite ends of the blocks) and do your typical click/reward when they're calm? Itd be like a whole family effort and probably sounds crazy but since macaw are SO loud I think it'd call for extreme measures.
Lastly thank you for being transparent and showing your struggles with us! It really helps us when we're dealing with our own. It will work out!!

I would be very accommodating to Jinx~ he is very annoyed by Comet & Tussah. If he bonds with Ava, I think it would be worse because he would protect her. I’d be tired from all that too~ But I think getting Comet & Tussah to your parents is a wonderful idea!!

I'm wondering if you have tried spending more one on one time with Ava and Jinx separately. Working to strengthen your personal bond and trust with each of them, may reduce the perceived competition between the pair. I dont know if that makes sense or not, but I went through a similar situation with my granddaughters and i found making special times to focus on each kid went a long way in reducing the fighting. Just a thought....
You really are doing a good job Jamie. Sounds like you need a mental break. Easier said than done sometimes. I know last night, I was really thinking about how nice it would be to run away from home. No one's fault, just too much going on. Hugs dear lady!!

Hi Jamie and Dave! I’ve been a long time watcher of all your videos! I got a 8month old cockatiel last week and she was on an all seed diet🤮 we’re currently working on switching her over to your SFS of the morning and waiting for your pellets to come in the mail! I got the stuff to make your cockatiel seed mix, but when and how should I allow her to have it? Also should I leave pellets out 24/7 or just offer them in the PM and take them away at night?

Hello, You are doing great. I have an idea but I’m not sure if it will work. I don’t own birds but I have a love for them. Maybe if you put a board between the two aviaries so they don’t see each other?Or you could even get a soundproof board to put in between the aviaries so it limits a little bit of sound? Just doing that on the side they can see each other might help?

I want to know the secret on how you can contain them in cages with those tiny bars. My cockatoo takes apart cages with two or three times the thickness of those bars, he's very persistent, has extremely strong jaws and flexes the welds until they break then removes the bars. I'm actually looking for a new bedtime cage because he's removed enough bars that he can get out.

As long you have the 2 other birds in front of him he is agressive to you cant put them together....try with moving those birds who cant stand each other away from view of the birds you are trying to get together and then try with them again... (: i dont know if it works but worth a try?
I think they have too much of a history over each presence (and screams even)
Some birds just have a bad history together, like when us humans dont like a person...

    Hi BirdTricks Team and Community!
I’ve been following your channel and absolutely love the detailed and thoughtful content you share about bird training and care. Your videos have been incredibly helpful in understanding the unique needs of birds. I wanted to introduce you all to my special feathered friend, Cronco, a companion crow. We’ve been documenting our journey together, sharing both the challenges and joys of living with such an intelligent bird on my CZcams channel. If you’re curious to see how life with a crow compares to other birds, feel free to check out my channel: Cronco - The Pet Crow at www.youtube.com/@croncocioaradecompanie. I think you’ll find Cronco’s antics and personality just as fascinating as any parrot!

My understanding is Ava is a project bird and as such not likely to be around forever
I would suggest trying to get Jinx and Ava to the point of tolerating each other isnt worth the effort you would need to put in for what has to be at best a low probability of success
It would take too much out of you to the detrimentment of everything else
Find a practical solution of rotating their sun bathing if that's what it takes, then that's what it takes
As for Tusa and Jinx same thing at least until and if you have a eureka moment
Everything thing else including your health will suffer if you try to reconcile the unreconcilable.jinx is your main performing bird so it's not a lack of understanding of what's required .As you say, some people just dont get along . Maybe given enough time that will change but your birds etc wont be best served by a stressed out, ill jamieleigh

Have you tried something Homeopathic? or even a product like Rescue Remedy. As a wildlife rehabber I used both. Why do they hate each other? Is it territorial? Think of yourself as territory when thinking about this.

I'm a bit confused about when this vlog was created because you mentioned Blueberry❤️🕊. Jamie, I'm thinking a really good pet psychic could help with the situation between Jinx, Comet and Tusa, but also how Jinx and Ava feel about each other. Anna Breytenbach is my favorite, she has worked with parrots, and all sorts of wildlife, her special communication with a black leopard named Spirit is here in CZcams. Laura Stinchfield is another gifted person, as well as Danielle MacKinnon. It's just a thought, but it might really help. Hope everything goes well on your trip, and I hope you get some rest. Thanks for sharing.❤️👍

This will sound kind of out there, but have you considered meditating and connecting to the consciousness system of each bird, and asking them what the issue is? You might be very surprised at how well this can work.❤❤

    @theparrotchannel2625 Před 19 dny

Unfortunately, you may be forced to deal with that.
Possibly forever, I have had exotic birds for 40 years. And when birds hate each other, they simply hate each other, they can't be trained to like each other.
I understand it's loud having them scream like that. But that is macaw ownership as you know Exotic birds cannot be trained to be perfect but.
That's why having many pet birds at one time usually doesn't work out too well. Exotic birds are not domesticated. Animals like dogs, they are still wild. Only removed from the wild population by maybe 1 or 2 generations. You can try keeping them in separate parts of the house. I know it's inconvenient but sometimes with birds. You have to do what you have to do. In the wild birds bond to one mate, they will socialize in the flock but as a general rule, they stick with their mate. And no one else that's why they can be a little difficult as pets.

At this point I feel like you should rehome one of the birds. Even if the situation improves, it will never be good. They will turn on a dime.
