Great show! Thank you! The monuments on Little Round Top were placed on the summit for convenience and engineering considerations instead of the spot the units fought at the military crest.

Hey Tim! I think a picture of that statue on the Alabamians! monument would make a great cover for an Adams County Historical Society Christmas card!

Thanks Tim - and yes, ALABAMIANS! deserves the emphasis... for their bravery if nothing else.

Missing flank marker? Steve Wright, when he was Curator at The Civil War Library and Museum in Philly tells a story of a person that came into the Museum one day to get some “background “ on an item “ they recently found “ on the Gettysburg Battlefield. It was a flank marker! And they had it with them!

More great stuff, Tim. I have a question about Little Round Top. Has a date been posted yet for when that area will reopen? I'm planning on visiting the battlefield this year but want to wait until it is open. Can't wait to check out the improvements. Thanks.

Hi Paul - A date has not been officially announced yet. We recommend visiting the Gettysburg National Military Park's website or Facebook page for the latest updates on the reopening.

Speaking of Gen Reynolds, why is he on a horse while Gen Buford a cavalry officer standing? These are both out by the McPherson farm.
