Maybe Germans dont have any knowledge of what nazis did in Greece during WW2, but the Greeks know well what happened. Every year at 28 of October we remember our heroes, who gave their life for freedom, we remember the atrocities, and all the horrible acts against men women and children. My grandmother, 103 years old now, often talks about all that she had to go through, they took their house, and they had to live in the barn with the animals. She knew people from another village close by, that were executed. They threatened to kill her with a rifle if she wouldn't follow them to a concentration camp to work, but she said to the soldier to kill her, because she preferred death than going to the camp, because she knew what happened to women in these camps. She still cant accept the fact that Germans come to Crete as tourists. I know of 2 children that were shot because they wouldnt say where their father was hiding. The people that did this, are long gone, but closure is impossible to be achieved. May the souls of our hero's rest in peace.
Και που να μάθουν το τι έκαναν σε δεκάδες χωριά στην ηπειρωτική Ελλαδα και στην Πελοπονησσο και το τι έκαναν στους συμμάχους τους Ιταλους όταν παραδόθηκε η Ιταλια στην Κεφαλλονιά !!! Ανάλογο ιστορικό προηγούμενο δεν υπάρχει πουθενά.
Ja, das Trauma ist nicht weg. Am 1. Mai 1944 wurde der Bruder meines Großvaters zusammen mit 199 anderen Kameraden in Kaisariani hingerichtet. Meine Tante sah ihn vor der Hinrichtung im Lastwagen. er sagte ihr nur: „Rinio, ich werde zur Hinrichtung gebracht.“ Meine Mutter lebt mit diesem Schmerz, ich trage ihn auch.

As a greek person, I would suggest to these people to spend more time in trying to solve the serious problems of Germany, like its demographics, instead of worrying for the past.
Δεδομένου του τεράστιου αριθμού Ελλήνων στην Γερμανία, και του μικρού αριθμού Γερμανών στην Ελλάδα, εγώ βλέπω οτι μάλλον οι Έλληνες θέλουν περισσότερο την Γερμανία, απο ο,τι το αντίστροφο. Για τα δημογραφικά προβλήματα χωρών όπως η Γερμανία γνωρίζετε? Για το οτι κατοικείται πλέον απο μόνο 68% Γερμανούς λέω, με το υπόλοιπο να ειναι άνθρωποι λιγότερο καλού φαινοτύπου, πχ Έλλξηνες.
Δεν ξέρω αν αλλάζουν, πάντως ελπίζω να αλλάξουν σύντομα, διότι η Γερμανία κατοικείται ήδη κατά 32% απο ανθρώπους λιγότερο καλού φαινοτύπου απο τους Γερμανούς, πχ Έλληνες, Τούρκους, Ιταλούς, Σύρους κλπ.
