It’s definitely not but it depends on the level of Downs and on if the parents can handle it. And what happens to the child when the parents die? Especially if they are older parents.
Emmerdale in general is not since Rhona and Marlon have down child and they love him and he is always shown in positive light , this is a natural reactions many parents have and i think the show wants to show different reactions people have
They've told this on a balanced point of view. Theyre not making it out to be bad. Not all women can through this duo to the tough challenges involved. Women's choices on this subject matter.
To folks it's too much. They did a Down's Syndrome Storyline on Guiding Light and sometimes Folks were unintentionally cruel. One little girl said "What's Wrong With That Baby!"
I think it's just to bring awareness that this side of the story does happen as well. At the end of the day it's a soap so they don't wanna do the same storyline they wanna add more drama. (I do see both sides)
It depends on the level of Downs and it depends on if the parents, especially older parents, can handle it. Because what happens to that child when the parents die?
The way how Arthur stood up at 3:38
I just thought if Baby Daniel never died Laurel would have never had Arthur
Brilliantly written well done Emmerdale for tackling such a hard hitting story line. Like real life things are never black and white.
I find this very disrespectful they are making out Down syndrome to be a horrible thing when it is not
Exactly.

@@xxwhispersxx2856 If they can't handle it, then why not put them up for adoption?

How is she pregnant?!
*past alcoholic life
*overdoeses
HOW!?
Because it is still possible for women to have children in their 40s. Alcohol and overdoses doesn’t always cause fertility problems in women.
@Abbie Hazel Florence Hunter I know... doesn’t make any difference
