You did a really great job at illustrating and explaining technique.
Excellent tutorial 👍🏻 I need to re learn my lutz and will use these drills. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Have been doing my lutz for about 7 months and I have just improved it drastically. I would suggest doing the jump with a lot of speed to get a lot of height because if the technique is correct, speed = height. Also don't pick too hardly, it should be tap but make sure the toe pick is properly in the ice before the takeoff. I would also recommend leaning forward slightly before takeoff to get more height. But DO NOT LEAN to much forwards. I find that leaning slightly forwards can also get me a proper outside edge to make it a textbook takeoff. Hope this helps
Even though I'm not a skater on do jumps off ice, I do lean slightly left and forwards aswell and making sure that my prerotation is less than 1/4 or non-existent.😂
But I figured that I'm getting too used to the lutz and I can't do a proper flip as often. I sometimes do a slight outside edge when going for it but I'm trying to fix it now while it's early and prerotation is basically the same as lutz but a lil more I think around 1/4.
This is so clear and so helpful, thank you!!
Yes I really needed this
can you do longer versions like these of the double jumps? 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Hi, thank you for your videos, I can't appreciate the explanation, because I don't know English well, but visually everything is very clear.
I am from Ukraine🇺🇦, and there is no ice rink in my city, and I don’t have skates, I don’t know if it makes sense to buy them because of the unstable situation in the country, and if it makes sense to spend money on such things when there is a war outside the window, but I practice on floor thanks to your and other videos. And I dream to go out on the ice one day and learn to do the same there. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I wish you success and health❤️🤗
Great video ! Looking forward to see a (new) Axel tutorial from you :D It would be great to have a common mistakes section in the video, idk why but I get a lot of pain in the right hip when I do loop & loop based jumps I assume its because I make some mistake but I don't know :((( Anyway, keep up the good work, greetings from Spain :D
love the vid
pls i beg you i need help in my axel my coach says i lean sideways in the jump its like after my takeoff and when i am in the air i lean sideways so pretty much i fall really hard if you have any tips on how to get it right it would mean a lot
Also great work keep going 👍
I do flutzes. It is really hard staying on the outside edge. I can't really do good backward power pulls and have heard it is a good exercise for Lutz. But I have a very good FLutz. It looks like I'm doing it right to non figure skating people lol
can you do a backspin? im having a hard time staying in the backspin position😭
Finally Lutzzzzz
can you do axel? i lost all my doubles and axel 😟
Always so helpful!! Went today buying my skates, my first lesson will be on friday and is so beautiful that it doesn’t even seems real😭🤍✨
