- The biggest difference between the Scorpion ADF 9000 and Scorpion XT9000 is that the ADF 9000 has a fiberglass shell and the XT 9000 has a true Carbon Fiber shell. In my opinion the XT9000 is the best motorcycle helmet with good features at a good price point. Bonus KTM 990 Adventure R riding footage from the Palmetto Adv Rally.

I love Scorpion helmets. I use the modular Scorpion EXO AT960 because I wear glasses and it's easier for me to get it on and off plus, I can just lift the front while tootering around town, or take a drink of something while I'm off my bike. If it weren't for the Glasses and could were contacts. I would be wearing the ADF9000 like Timmies with the flip down sun shade. Then I could pretend to be a fighter pilot in TOP-GUN. Fu(k yeah!!!!! Flyyyy awaaay toooo tha danger zone. Another great video. Glad to see you are back brother.
The AT960 is a great helmet too. Everyone has different wants and needs when it comes to motorcycle gear so I'm glad Scorpion has many options. Thanks man. 👊

It's a shame the ADF-9000 is not available in stores. There are a few US sellers, and if course eBay. At one point you could get the ADF for half the price of the the other helmet! - Frank
They would have to put the dot certification on it to sell it in the US in stores. It's not much cheaper than the XT now so might as well spend the little bit extra and get the lighter XT
@@TheBeardedGrumpScorpion lists the difference at 20 grams, or point 70 ounces. That's really close when you consider the added visor and mechanical parts.
If I were to order my colorway today, the price difference, with shipping is just over $120 saved, it was over $150 when I ordered. Pricing varies on the ADF-9000. - Frank
Hi, can you record a video of the intercom installation? I bought this helmet and I have a problem choosing the intercom.
I will as soon as I get time. I use a Cardo Packtalk Edge and it was an easy install.
Once you put the gopro mount on it, how do you remove it to put on the vent cover back?
You would have to pull the GoPro sticky mount off to access the screw that holds the plate on. Once you remove that screw you just pop the vent cover back on
